What a View! - You will see some gorgeous views of the islands and of the Caribbean Sea. The roads are very narrow but the tour guide was great at navigating them.

Patience as driver picks... - Patience as driver picks up from resorts but also cruise ships and still made it worth the time and money. He even dropped us to shop and then came back to get us and bring us back to resort.

Fun way to learn the island and shop! - Godfrey was our tour guide and he did a wonderful job pointing out the history of the island. Several good look out spots for pictures. Snacks and drinks were provided and the tour was fun. Good shopping at top of mountain and in the city. Tour took longer than expected, but was not an issue with us as we were staying on the island.

Bad service- do not book - We had this tour for 5 hour. We were supposed to be there at the pickup point at 9.30am. We reached at the pickup point 9am. We waited till 9.30 and tried communication the Godfrey with text messages via Viator chat, but received no response. We reached out the ground coordinator who was there and he called Godfrey at 10.15am. We were told that they will send someone to be picked and drop and at uptown from where we will be collected. Someone came at 10.30 and then we were dropped to uptown and from there we called again the tour guys and after lot of calls we were advised to meet at a pick up point at 11.15 after many to and fro we were told that one of their truck has broke down, which was never told to us. We were again picked up at 11.30 as we told them that we need to be back at the port at 2.30. We were asked that they will cover whatever they can at the limited time. There were no snacks or water provided the tour was cut down to one and half hour which was not what we paid for this is a bad service and shouldn’t be booked by anyone.

Ripoff, Untruthful description, waste of time - This was a poorly communicated, poorly executed rip off. To start, tours as part of a cruise must absolutely operate on time. If they encounter something they must make adjustments to the tour so they stay on schedule. This was one of the main core problems of Godfrey's tour… As well as not delivering what was listed in his tour description. To begin, we were supposed to meet our tour operator at 8:30 AM at the windmill in town. Of the total participants in our tour it was our group plus one other larger group traveling together. All of us were there 15 minutes ahead of the meeting time and we kept asking around to find Godfrey tours. The locals who were in that area said oh he's not here yet. After multiple calls and messages, Godfrey finally answered and said the driver was on his way. The driver showed up over 20 minutes late and by the time we got out of there, we were half an hour late from our pick up time. Later on Godfrey started to make excuses and try to gaslight us saying that we weren't there and the driver looked for us so he a/ went to the bathroom and b/had been waiting when he couldn't find us. That was an absolute lie as we saw the driver eventually pull in from the main outside road. Meaning he was nowhere in the area. From there, we went onto the shopping stop which ended up being an hour and a half stop. There was no thought to possibly shorten that so that we could get back on schedule. And the shopping area was 95% jewelry stores so at that point, we could've easily gotten by with a 45 minute stop. At 10:30 AM we all assembled at our pickup location as instructed. Again, no driver and after multiple calls to Godfrey, he told us there was a "situation." Additionally there was another Godfrey group that was supposed to meet in that location at 9:30 and have been waiting over an hour and could not get a hold of him and had no idea what was going on with their pick up. After seeing what our goal was already going through one of the other groups, participants asked me whether I thought he should cancel if their ship was going to be leaving in less than four hours and they still had not started their tour. I said if you want to make the ship absolutely cancel right now. Later, he told us that one of his trucks had caught on fire and almost ignited his whole fleet, which is why the driver was late. We also believe that to this to be untrue as later on in the day when we kept asking him to skip/shorten stops or do anything so we could stay on schedule, he refused. He kept pointing the finger at Viatour"requiring him to make stops". We all believed that Viatour would've understood had there surely been a flaming truck situation that had put us behind schedule in part. Our first stop was supposed to be a lookout Vista however, our driver got lost on the way and ended up doing a scary three-point turn in the middle of a tiny mountain road near an overlook with cars and drivers screaming obscenities at us as he executed it. This also put us further behind schedule. Eventually, we caught up to the other truck that was being driven by Godfrey an another overlook. Our first official stop was a lookout point, which was technically our second stop since we had gotten lost on the first part. We stayed a couple minutes and it was OK but covered in souvenir stands and weird Christmas characters walking around on stilts trying to take pictures with us for money. Throughout the drive that took us to the various spots during the tour day the driver gave us zero historical and probably three or four comments n total, identifying a couple of structures. The speaker system was abysmal so he was hard to hear at all when he did speak. Our next stop was yet another point and a massive gift shop aka the Mountaintop. We were dumped at the entrance and told to go find Godfrey… Which was a feat as the gift store had about 30 of these trucks parked there and it was crowded as heck. Eventually, we found Godfrey who was giving his historical talk to his group. We clearly could not figure out what was going on and whether we had to stay for it so instead we went inside to get our free rum drink. We saw people paying so then went back outside found Godfrey and asked him if we were supposed to have a coupon or something to get a rum drink. He said there is no rum drink. "I don't know what you're talking about." We showed him the tour description that we had booked, and he basically refused to acknowledge it and said that that's not part of the tour. We were flabbergasted as it literally was printed on our tour description provided by him. We attempted to listen to Godfrey's "historical tour" but it really contained zero information and the most we could understand was when he pointed out where St. Croix was. As our tour was supposed to end at 12:30 PM and we were so far behind schedule (60-90 minutes at this point), none of us had anticipated that we would have no place to get lunch. The places he took us were mainly gift stores with rum drinks for purchase and chips. Before leaving the Mountaintop stop, we begged him for the complimentary drinks and snacks that were also written in his tour description. (We had asked our driver prior to this and he said he no snacks and drinks.) At this point, we got our first water and were handed a 24 pack box of chips and Doritos to pass around the group. All of these had been in Godfrey's truck and not in ours so this was the first we were getting of them. He then told us we were going on to a third overlook stop so we could see our cruise ship in the bay. Our entire truck group, including the others on our tour were unanimous that we had absolutely no desire to do yet another crowded tourist stop with souvenir stands, etc. and that we were running so far behind schedule. I reminded him for the fourth or fifth time that we had to be back by 12:30 in order to get our afternoon excursion. He would not listen to us and told us we had to go because Viatour required him to make that stop. This again is where I find it hard to believe that his tour trucks were catching on fire supposedly and he was not allowed to amend the tour based on the time constraints we had encountered. We then proceeded to take a twisting, turning and somewhat alarming trip down the mountain until we arrived at our third overlook stop. It turned out to be the first one we had gone to when our driver had gotten lost so our group basically said we were either not getting out of the truck or only doing a quick look - so we stayed five minutes and left. At this point half of our group had signed up for the beach excursion so even though our half wasn't part of that, we ended up going on a 30 minute drive to drop them off at the beach and then an almost 40 minute drive for us to get back to the cruise ship. And instead of being dropped off by 12:30 as the tour stated, we were dropped off at 2pm meaning we could not make it to our planned second excursion of the day because our ship had an all aboard by 3:30 PM. We did not want to risk getting out to our other excursion which had a runtime of an hour as it would only leave us 15 minutes each way to get there in time. Final observations: Godfrey is trying to run as many tours as possible and milk as much money out of cruise ships passengers as possible. He has multiple drivers who are only as good as the information he gives them which is little to none. His tour description matches nothing that he provides. And when anybody tries to ask for an amendment or to show him what his description promised, he got thoroughly confrontational throughout the day and dismissive. The amount of times he tried to twist the narrative and make everything our fault was insane. I've traveled the world and taken many many tours and I've never experienced anything even remotely close to this. Viatour should be ashamed to have a tour operator like this on its platform, and I would likely say the tour reviews that give him high marks are either mined/manipulated in some way or they were when he was a smaller operator, only operating by himself.

Bad experience !!! - Tour review and complain Confirmation# 1592454995 Booking reference# 1207817701 We reserved a tour at St Thomas US Virgin Islands on 12/26/2024 9:30 am. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. See details below : 1. Pick up time was 9:30 am Godfrey tours did not pick us up at the scheduled time. They did not reply to our texts, we had to call them around 9:45 am and they said they will send someone to pick up us up and drop us at downtown. Thereafter another vehicle will pick us up from there at 10:45 am. We waited for them and they arrived at around 11:00 am. There was a huge chaos and confusion regarding how to seat bunch of people who were waiting for them. On complaining they said that one of their tour buses broke down so they were running behind, but unfortunately they never communicated about this to any of us when we were texting and calling them. 2. They finally seated us in a tour bus and started the tour around 11:15 am They said the tour is 2 hours, but again they advertised it as 4 hours when we booked. We could not have done 4 hours starting at 11:15 as we had to be back at the ship at 1:30 pmWe decided to take the 2 hour tour 3. While in the tour we were provided with water bottles whereas snacks and banana daiquiri were falsely advertised, we never received them. Taking into consideration everything that happened and caused so much stress half of our day, we would like to get a refund for this tour or a Viator voucher to be used in future. If you look into my account I have booked many tours around the World and never experienced this before.
