Allow lots of time......you will need it. - This is one of many attractions to enjoy during a visit of the Viking Triangle, however, this museum is definitely at the top of the list. We joined a tour with our guide jamie, which made it absolutely fascinating, he was fun and professional, highlights included, the Great Charter Roll of Waterford, created in 1373. The cloth of gold vestments are the only full set of medieval vestments to survive in northern Europe A ceremonial sword and two maces gifted to the city by King Edward IV in 1462, in the basement is the thirteenth century Choristers’ Hall and the fifteenth century Mayor’s Wine Vault. After a wonderful tour with Jamie we spent another hour exploring, the displays further. All in all a wonderful experience.

Specular time at the medieval museum - We had a wonderful and very interesting time in the museum! Our FREE tour guide Laura was spectacular, and had oodles of enthusiam for all things archeology, not just the exhibits! She took our group through the museum with boundless energy, great insights, and was funny all the way along. I'd happily have Laura take me through every museum I go to! On a side note, the man at reception with a wonderful mustache (didnt catch his name) was also incredibly welcoming and is a credit to the museum. Fully recommend the whole experience!

Tour guide improved the museum experience - We planned on viewing the museum on our own but were offered a tour guide and were able to be guided through by Clare. She was able to offer much more information than the signs around the building and told us about much of the history of the Waterford area. The museum had a ton of artifacts and vestments were wonderful to see.

Fascinating museum! - When we headed to the Medieval Museum, we had the luck to get a private tour, which was just amazing and incredibly informative! We started our tour In the 13th century Choristers Hall and the Wine vault from the 15th Century. The upper floors display the only set of medieval vestments which survived in Northern Europe, as well as the walled city of Waterford on the Great Charter Roll of 1373. It’s a really interesting museum full of stunning exhibits.

OK museum. - Turned up last week to bring a friend to visit the Medieval Museum. Paided to get in but was not told the Choristers’ Hall and Mayor's Wine Vault was closed to the public which is the best part of the museum.

WASTED MONEY - A unique disappointment, money thrown to the wind Pay 10 euros to see very little or better nothing. Basically a theft.
