If you love good food, take this tour! - Our travel agent recommended this tour as she knows that we appreciate good food and we are so glad that we heeded her advice! John is very knowledgeable about the food scene in Wellington and had lined up a nice day for us. We started at a coffee roaster where we learned a lot and tasted some amazing coffees, then we had planned stops for Greek and Italian - all of which were interspersed with a few stops with lovely views of the city. It was really nice that John was flexible; he added stops at a wholesale souvenir shop (we would have never found), a seaside ice cream shop, an old art deco theatre and Weta Studios for a quick Lord of there Rings fix.

Great way to spend a day in Wellington - You won't be hungry - Jon is a wonderful host. We spent the day visiting local establishments where owners and managers each took the time to talk with us about their products and the local way. The food was scrumptious and plentiful at each stop and the diversity was endless. Our favorite parts of the day: coffee tasting and roasting session, tasting meat pies, olives from around the world and talking with the locals getting to know beautiful NZ better. I can't wait to come back again.

Delectible Wellington! - We spent a delicious day with Jon, our guide, not just sampling exotic food but seeing the city and learning it's history. After pick up at our hotel we ventured through many different neighborhoods, eating and drinking our way. Wellington is truly cosmopolitan, with so many different types of food available. Just a few of our stops were Caribe Coffee where we received a fascinating tutorial from Zach, a pie shop with sweet and savoury pies, Havana Brothers Bakehouse, The Dutch Shop with a beautiful platter of cheeses and meats, The Dumpling Company where we saw the dumplings cooked, the Alamir Bakery with a Lebanese pizza, then Italian with a lovely antipasto. Finally Schoc Chocolates and the Thistle Inn for a final toast to a wonderful day.

Jon is patient, super knowledgeable, experienced, and accommodating. OnTrays was definitely one of our favorite spots. If I could give more stars, I would!</p>
