• Wellington - PICK UP - we pick up our guests from a variety of locations in the city or from the port
• Wharewaka Function Centre - Manaaki Mgmt Ltd - We’ll head to the Wharewaka on Wellingtons spectacular waterfront.

Take part in a powhiri (traditional welcoming ceremony) including a traditional maori greeting called a hongi & learn a little te reo (language). Kia ora!

Visit the City to Sea bridge & listen to some maori mythology about legendary taniwha Ngake & Whataitai.

We’ll head down to the statue of Kupe, the polynesian explorer who discovered New Zealand!

For something super special, we’ll then check out the remains of an ancient maori pa.

• Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa - To round out the morning, we’re off to the national museum called Te Papa where you’ll be guided on a 1 hour maori taonga (treasures) tour
• Wellington - LUNCH - we’ll find a suitable location to take a break for kai (food)
• Oriental Bay - Wellington’s spectacular inner city beach! Did you know that it is “man made”? Check out the architecture of one of Wellingtons most desirable areas to live & hang out
• Mount Victoria Lookout - Head up to the best vantage point in the city, Mount Victoria Lookout. Best views ever & your guide will happily to take some photos for you!
• Cable Car Museum - Check out the history of our very cool cable car service
• Lady Norwood Rose Garden - In 2015, the Lady Norwood Rose Garden received the Garden of Excellence award from the World Federation of Rose Societies.

This tour is designed to learn & discover a little more about the maori people & then enjoy our beautiful city. We spend 2 hours with the tangata whenua (local people) who will host us at their venue. After farewelling our tangata whenua, we take a 1 hour guided tour at Te Papa National museum looking at the maori taonga (treasures).

Then we head to Mount Victoria Lookout, Lyall Bay Beach, the Weta cave, Oriental Bay, the Cable car & parliament grounds are some of the places of interest that we visit.
