Highlights
  • Wesel Citadel - The citadel, constructed in a pentagonal star shape was the core of the Wesel fortress.
  • Berliner Tor - The Berliner Tor is part of the fortress of Wesel and was built between 1718 and 1722 in the Prussian Baroque style.
  • Historische Rathausfassade - The historic town hall is one of the city’s most recognizable buildings; at the time it was one of the best-known Lower Rhine secular buildings of the late Gothic period.
  • Wasserturm (Stadtwerke Wesel GmbH) - The technical and architectural planning was executed by the 36-year-old Prof. Otto Inze, a well-known water construction engineer, who constructed the support containers of the Wesel water tower. The 40 metre tower was connected with the old waterworks on the Lippe by pipes, served as a water reservoir and simultaneously supplied the necessary pressure to the network. In 1923, a second container was installed on steel supports below the original container; this replaced the plans for a second water tower due to price reasons and so created this technical curiosity.

Challenging brain teaser with fun background information - Happy challenging assignments. Not just being able to easily find something on a building and then write it down. There is also real brain-teasing. Delicious!! And we liked that extra background information was given regularly. You don't have to read, but like this and have learned a lot again. Among other things, where the term dirty money comes from. We're definitely going to do more.

Nice trip just across the border - The escape tour takes you to places you would otherwise never visit. Just like in this nice town in Germany. This tour can also be played abroad. More difficult assignments than we were used to, but that made it extra fun when we finally managed to find the correct solution to the puzzle.
