Dive instruction that exceeded our expectations - We had an excellent experience diving with West Bay Divers. We took the Advanced Open Water course and also got Nitrox certified. Communication from the staff was quick and clear- we were able to do all the reading and testing online before we arrived in Roatan. Our instructor Joel exceeded our expectations. He explained the dive plan in detail in advance of each dive, what skills would be practiced, our route, what we might see along the way. He is great at finding cool fish and sea life and pointing it out so that everyone has a chance to see it. He is also very patient in explaining dive concepts and he made sure we understood the differences between air and Nitrox diving. Because we were the only two doing the course it was like having a private dive guide for three days. Diving with Joel was really a positive experience and I am so glad we had him as our instructor. We also got some great shots of our wreck dive from Juan Darhanpe the photographer, who did a great job of capturing us and the sea life we saw. From start to finish, our experience with West Bay Divers was exceptional and I would definitely dive with them again next time we are in Roatan.

Favorite dive company ! - Best dive company my family has worked with !! I did my advanced open water and Nitrox courses with Gaby and she was amazing ! The dive sites they took us to were beautiful and the staff made us feel like family. Also got the coolest experience swimming with a whale shark in between our dives on day 1. Would definitely dive with them again if we come back to Roatan ! (Also the banana bread was the best we’ve ever had)

5 Star experience at WB Divers - On our trip to Roatàn, we did a total of 9 dives with West Bay Divers. Each one was great. The gear they provide, as well as the boats they use were in great condition; very well taken care of. We did our advance open water cert with Arturo. He was patient, knowledgeable and articulate. He clearly communicated what was needed, demonstrated the skills and made sure we were doing them correctly - both topside and underwater. Barney and Mary in the shop were responsive and provided all information needed quickly and without hassle. The other instructors around the shop (Sean, Gabby, and others) were all friendly and helpful and added to the atmosphere of fun. We had both Alex and Anthony as boat captains, each were stellar. Their driving skills were on point. Juan, the photographer also accompanied us on our wreck dive and snapped some awesome photos a highly recommend booking him to join a dive. Overall we saw some amazing fish, turtles, rays, and coral. On our night dive we also saw an octopus and bioluminescence. The reef is beautiful, the dive shop was great, and would absolutely recommend WB divers. We will be back.

The best in Roatan, hands down!!! - We just returned from Roatan for the 3rd time, and each time we dove with WBD! We were lucky this year as Gaby was back, so we requested to dive with her again! We certified for the AOW and nitrox this year. I can’t say how much I love these guys! Gaby is the best (we certified with her, so patient, friendly and funny), Barney was so great with all the scheduling, and our kids always want to go on the boat with Captain Alex (say hi to Jeff 😂). Gaby even went with us on the shark dive, we all felt better with her joining us, and it was incredible! Their boats and equipment are far superior than other shops, while still being competitive in pricing. Muchas gracias WBD!! See you soon!

Great experience with West Bay Divers - Great experience with West Bay Divers as usual. Friendly staff, professional and always safety focused. We learned so much with Joel during our advanced open water course. He's in an awesome instructor and a great guy. Lucked out and we were able to go on the day trip offered to Cayos Cochinos. What an amazing day. If you’re lucky enough to have it work out don't hesitate to go. The diving is amazing. Any time we dive in Roatan it will be with West Bay and Joel!

Fantastic dive experience! - Our family did our advanced open Water certification here. It was such a great experience! Our dive Master, Joel Urbina was so much fun! It was a pleasure to spend several days diving with him and the rest of the crew. I felt very safe with him guiding us, and their equipment is nice and very clean. This should definitely be on everyone’s bucket list. The night dive was my favorite, and the wreck dive was a close second.

Joel and Bastiaan instilled in our whole family a love of the coral reefs and marine life around Roatan and a deep respect for conservation of this precious place and coral reefs around the world. Accordingly, we have since gotten certifications in PADI Aware, Divers Against Debris and Lionfish Awareness/Eradication. In addition to having some of the most talented DM/DIs on the island, they also have incredibly experienced, safe and fun boat captains - especially Captain Edwin - who recently braved rough surface surge and bad weather to ensure we have some of our most memorable dives - including a 60+minute night dive to experience the unique “String of Pearls”. Cpt Edwin also expertly and safely found us dive sites that had clear visibility and no crowds in the middle of a driving rain and windstorm. We deeply appreciate our WBD family (including Joel, Bastiaan, and Edwin (as well as Owner/ Management Wayne and Mike!) for making our most recent family dive trip to Roatan so special despite terrible weather and conditions! Amazing Dive Shop - Me and my wife started our experience with West Bay Divers before heading to Roatan on vacation by booking our Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air Nitrox courses with them. We initially communicated with Wayne over email who was very responsive and helpful in setting up our PADI study materials, in class reviews, and our certification dives. Upon arriving at the shop our first course was with Mayghan for our Enriched Air Nitrox and she was absolutely lovely. She took the time to review everything with us and was wonderful. When moving on to our Advanced Open Water dives our instructor was Bastiaan who was amazing. Our experience getting our Advanced with Bastiaan was fantastic and it definitely exceeded our expectations as he was patient, kind and always willing to go the extra mile. We didn't just get our Advanced, we actually further developed our skills and are now more confident divers because of his guidance. Basstiann is an unbelievable person and dive master to dive with. Any dive shop who has Bastiaan or Mayghan have gained two assets. We highly recommend West Bay Divers, and if you're thinking of doing courses with them rest assured you are in great hands with Bastiaan and Mayghan. We had such a positive experience with all staff members that we continued to dive with the shop for the remainder of our trip.
