Best Roatan Experience - When our cruise stopped in Roatán, we decided to book a tour with this local company instead of through the cruise line, and it was the best choice! Our driver, Tania, was professional, kind, and flexible. Having a private tour made everything so much more enjoyable.
The animal park was amazing we had so much fun, and it was such a unique experience. After that, we went snorkeling, and it was beautiful. We felt safe the whole time and loved seeing all the colorful fish and coral. We didn’t want to get out of the water. West Bay Beach was stunning, like a little piece of paradise. This tour was perfect for my family, and we had an incredible time. It was the best part of our cruise. Tania was always on time and made sure the day went smoothly. Thank you for such a great experience!

Wonderful tour with kids - It’s a breath of relieve when you are in the hands of your private driver. Time is so flexible, our driver Amanda listen and respect our plan and only reminded us when there is not enough time. They really care about you and watch your personal belongings for you too. Kids and I all had a wonderful experience at Roatan.

Everything you hope for in a tour - We were so excited for this excursion and it didn't disappoint. When we got off the cruise, we had detailed instructions for how to find our tour guide. She did her best to get close to the port, but there were soooo many people and cars so we had to walk a little bit to get to her car.
The car was air conditioned and drove well. We had 4 adults w beach bags and fit in the 4 door sedan. She asked if we wanted to stop and get water or drinks, but we declined.
For our first stop, we went to visit the animals. The sloths were one of the greatest experiences of my life. The monkeys and birds were great too, but I absolutely fell in love w the sloths. We were with the animals for about 30-40 minutes and then we're taken to the hotel for snorkling, pool, and the beach. No food or drinks were included at the hotel, but it was clean and fun. Our guide was ready for us when we wanted to leave to go back to the boat. She was friendly and kind.

Amazing *PRIVATE* Family Adventure in Roatan - young kids - We had an amazing time in Roatan thanks to our tour guide Jamie and Roatan Tucan Adventures. Jamie went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and that each member of my family got to do what was important to them. We traveled as a family of 5 with 3 children aged 3 to 9. We felt comfortable and safe in Jamie’s air conditioned SUV. Jamie spoke with staff at each of our stops on our behalf and it was especially nice to not have to deal with paying at each individual stop. My kids loved interacting with the sloths, monkeys and macaws. My older two were able to snorkel with their dad while Jamie found the toddler and I a comfortable spot on the beach at a resort to swim and play in the sand. The island itself was beautiful. Henry Morgan beach resort was perfect for us. The water was crystal clear, plenty of spots in the shade or sun, attentive staff. Jamie even accommodated at last minute request from my kids to visit the chocolate factory. I would and plan to highly recommend this excursion to all of my friends and family. Also Jamie had us back to the ship with plenty of time before our all aboard. My boys still benefited from the shorter water slide lines on port day on top of our packed day in Roatan. This is perhaps the best benefit of private tours so much time saved and we moved on to different activities on the schedule of our family not when the large group was finished. You squeeze so much more out of your excursion.

Don’t miss this one! - We were met at the port by our tour guide, Tanya. She was there waiting for us, even though we were delayed getting off our ship. Unfortunately, we did not have good weather for this port. In spite of the bad weather, she was prepared to take us anywhere we wanted to go. She was very smartly parked outside of the main port area so we did have a walk of maybe a whole minute or two to get to her car which was immaculately clean. For our first spot, we chose the sloth encounter and it did not disappoint. Tucan Tours has clearly established good relationships with their vendor partners and right away we were set up to join a small group. We all had a fabulous time. It’s not a very long tour, so make sure that you have other things planned if you do this separately (but I highly suggest a multi stop tour like this one). If you go be prepared to wear clothes, you’re not afraid to get dirty because sloths are not pristine especially when they’re wet and the same goes for the absolutely adorable monkeys. It’s a very hands-on experience. It’s also at Daniel’s brand new facility so it’s not as crowded as others may have experienced in the past and the enclosures are really large. Tanya waited for us, and we decided for our next stop we would head straight to snorkeling. We drove to the dock facility where again we were joined by another small group and Tanya waited for us at what would be our next stop, the beach island. We headed straight out for the reef. Oh my gosh, I could’ve spent three weeks there. My only disappointment is that the guides who lead you in the water need to slow down. There’s so much to see and if you are constantly swimming around at a good clip, you’re going to miss a lot. This is true of every snorkeling excursion we’ve done (not just this one) so we knew what to expect. Afterwards we went to the beach. It’s a little private island resort with a restaurant a little shop and restroom facilities. Bonus! Out of nowhere there was a pony. And donkey. And roosters. You can snorkel right off the beach. It’s rustic but 100x better than what we experienced at another stop in Costa Maya. The wait staff was absolutely charming and entertaining, and the food prices were Americanized but fair. Make sure to ask for the homemade ranch dressing for your plantain chips. The food was excellent. Better than the cruise ship food for certain.
Tanya was knowledgeable and considerate and a highlight of our trip. We hope to go back and see her again.

Highly Recommend for an Amazing Day in Roatán! - We had an incredible day in Roatán with our friends! Our guide, Tania, made the entire experience unforgettable. We started by visiting the sloths and monkeys, which was so much fun getting up close to these amazing animals was a dream come true. After that, we headed to West Bay Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen. The snorkeling was fantastic, with clear waters and plenty of colorful fish. Tania was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. We can’t recommend this tour enough! Thank you Roatán Tucán Adventures and Tania for this amazing day.

Lots to see and do in a short amout of time - Our recent snorkeling and wildlife park excursion had its ups and downs. It was enjoyable to see the animals, but we felt the enclosures could have been better maintained to provide a more comfortable environment for them. Snorkeling was a highlight since it was nice to get back into the water. However, it could be challenging for an inexperienced person, as the boat crew was very young and didn’t speak English, making communication difficult. Our driver and host, Raul, was polite but quite reserved, offering little commentary during the trip. Overall, it was a mixed experience.
