The best excursion experience! - My wife and I visited as one of 3 port destinations on our 7-day cruise with Royal Caribbean, celebrating our 30th anniversary. We chose Roatan Five Stars (RFS) tours because of video we watched on YouTube, along with reading other reviews from various sources. This experience did not disappoint! Previously, we had only used the cruise ship excursion packages and were a little hesitant to try something not coordinated by the cruise line, but I’m so glad we did! RFS was much better, more personalized, and almost half the price of the cruise lines! We chose a package that took us to a zip-lining adventure through the forest, to an animal encounter experience with sloths (my wife’s favorite animal), capuchin monkeys and birds, a small island rum cake factory, a small chocolate factory (both with complimentary tasting), and a place to buy souvenirs away from the frantic crowds and haggling entrepreneurs. It finished with with lunch at a local Roatan treetop restaurant with amazing food. Our driver and tour guide, Daniel, was waiting for us when we arrived at our gate, and ushered us to his personal vehicle which he contracts to RFS… but make no mistake, this was a very professional experience and very comfortable. For the rest of our trip, Daniel would accompany us to each of our destinations, and provide us with commentary about the history of the island, and an insider’s view of the culture and life of Roatan and the surrounding Honduras. He was incredible! Very friendly, just funny enough, and extremely attentive to our comfort. As he would say more than once, “this trip is all about you having the best experience possible… it’s all about you.” And he and RFS surely delivered! Once we were in Daniel’s care for the day, the excursion was just amazing and never stopped. RFS truly delivered five stars on every level. As a tour guide, Daniel was perfect. He would usher us to each encounter, but allowed us to explore and have privacy whenever we wanted it. It’s hard to explain, but at each destination he was there without being there, if that makes sense. We truly enjoyed his company, and feel like we’ve made a friend for life. When we return to Roatan in the future, we’ll definitely be using RFS, and we’ll definitely be requesting Daniel to be our guide.

Superior customer service and excellent package offerings! - Highlight of a great trip! From booking, through meeting our guide Daniel at the port and spending the day on the island, to drop off steps away from the pier, Roatan Five Star was a model of excellent customer service, professional tourism, and gracious hospitality. Truly one of the very best tour companies I have ever dealt with. Daniel was knowledgeable and friendly. He even conjured up a fan in the restaurant where we had lunch (which was a lovely place--just stiflingly hot with no breeze!). A great experience all around!

Great Experience with Roatan 5 Stars! - Great day and experience! Our driver, Denzel, picked us up right outside the port gate and off we went. First was the zip lines, and then the animals, which included the highlight of the trip for my wife, holding a sloth!! Once we finished seeing all the animals, Denzel took us to see the small chocolate factory and then the rum company. Not sure which was better, the rum or the view, but both were fantastic! After that, it was a quick picture at the Roatan sign and back to the ship. Highly recommend to anyone spending a day in Roatan!

Great taste of Roatan - Tour as expected. We were greeted outside the port by our guide, taken to the zip line tour, which was great, then to the animal zoo and chocolate factory. A great day in Roatan.

Mangroves are a must see! - This was our second excursion with Roatán Five stars and our guide Wilson. He picked us up on time in his super clean air condition van, and we left for the day. Our trip included a tour of the chocolate factory, shopping at local craft shops, and then we went to the mangroves. The mangrove tour was the highlight of the day and not to be missed while in Roatan. We boarded a small private boat out into the bay then through the mangroves that included a stop to swim in the bright blue water. We were traveling with our three boys 15, 12 and 10. They had another great time! Thanks Wilson!

Great family cruise excursion! - This was a FANTASTIC tour!! Our guide Wilson was incredible! He met us exactly where he said he would outside of the port and we took a quick walk to zip line. He let us store our bags in his car while we did zip line…it was INCREDIBLE! Our whole fam loved it (us and 4 kids ages 17, 15, 11, 9). We then did an island tour and ended at the animal habitat where we got the most amazing pics with some sloths! Would highly recommend 5 star as well as Wilson!!

Amazing time on Roatan with Roatan Five Stars - ask for Jordan! - Our guide was Jordan and he rocked! We booked the excursion directly with Roatan 5 stars. I wanted to do the zip line and my wife didn’t and they were very flexible and made it work! First, the zip line was amaaaaaazeballs. Well over a dozen (16-20 I think) zip lines with expert folks helping all the way. The group I was in had 2 young kids, and people of all sizes and ages. All did very well! Only the first push off was scary. The rest was pure exhilarating fun. They do take pictures and of you want to buy it’s 25 bux to email to you or 35 on a usb stick. Well worth it! Then we were treated to the petting zoo area. Monkeys, birds, deer, and of course the cuddly sloth. Aside from one monkey trying to steal stuff from my back pack, it was great! Then off to rum factory. That was more like a store but they let you sample various rum cakes and rum shots. Nice views there too. We went across the way to the lighthouse and enjoyed the 360 degree views of the island. Then we went off to the chocolate factory and enjoyed the views of the shopping area (west end I think?) on the way. The chocolate factory is definitely a tourist trap but was a o k with that. Had a nice sampler there and lots of various chocolate things to buy. Then back for the cruise ship. Jordan gave us soooo much info on the island and we had great conversations throughout. Overall, this excursion was very much well worth the price and then some!!
