Genootschap, for example, provided furnishings that may still seen in the building. This structure was utilized by the Dutch East Indies colonial government’s Mining department until 1925. Later, the location was utilized as the Lands archive (“state archive”). After the Republic of Indonesia’s independence, it became the building of the national archives.
