Tanjung Putting as a couple, a professional team - A perfect organization thanks to Fardi WhatsApp +62 852-4866-9394. We organized everything through WhatsApp. Fardi can even accommodate you the night before. Even belatedly Fardi found us an individual klotoc. Excellent crew: a cook who cooked us excellent dishes, an attentive boat captain who pointed out a crocodile and especially Husni our Guide (instagram account Husni_borneo), who taught us a lot and helped us take great photos. Part of the winnings are used by Fardi and guides who work with him buy land surrounding the Park to protect the Park's environment from large palm oil companies. A great trip. Discretion, thoughtfulness and competence, and great memories

Must do experience when in Indonesia! 🇮🇩 - We had a great time at Tanjung Puting national park! Dewa (our guide) and his crew were really friendly and funny. It was a unique experience to stay on a houseboat cruising through the jungle for two nights - definitely one of the highlights of our trip through Indonesia. Everything, the pick up at the airport, transfers, the boat, the food, sleeping under a mosquito net on deck and of course seeing Orang Utans in the wild, worked out really well. Can definitely recommend this experience!

Wonderful experience - Really nice tour, we hada wonderful Klotok with 2 people of the crew, the guide and the cook. We got very nice food every day and the crew would prepare our bed nicely, changing the bedsheets every day. The experience of watching orangutans and then sleeping in the Klotok qas fantastic. We were just missing a bit more of explanations of the guide, but in general was a very nice experience.

Fantastic tour! - We are very grateful for the team we had during the tour and the treatment we recieved. We arrived 12h late due to a flight delay but they offered us the possibility to extend the tour for free to compensate it. The guide (Dewa) was very kind and funny, we had a great time with him and his crew. Finally, although in our group we have some food intolerances they managed to make excelent meals for all of us. It was a 10/10!

The highlight of our trip to Indonesia! - The boat was very comfortable and the crew was fantastic. They did everything they could to make our trip enjoyable and they succeeded. We did not sleep on the boat as there is of course no AC or hot showers. We opted to spend the night in a lodge. The food was fantastic, not a disappointing meal once. We let them know we like our food spicy and our chef, Nur, did a good job of delivering it stove hot and spicy hot. Our guide was Darmin. He was a delight and had a very good command of English. We enjoyed spending downtime during the day talking to him. He made the ride up the river very entertaining. We highly recommend this boat trip and if you can get Darmin you will be extra happy. The rides up the river to the feeding platforms was very relaxing. The walks to the feeding platforms were reasonably short and over flat, even terrain.

Incredible - Incredible experience being ferried down the river through the jungle. We were lucky enough to see tons of different animals including proboscis monkeys, orangutans, gibbons, macaques and Kingfishers. The boat staff were phenomenal and the food was brilliant with very generous portions. Thank you to our lovely guide Darmin

Wonderful experience - My husband and I have recently returned from Indonesia where we enjoyed a three day Orangutan Tour on a houseboat (klotok) motoring down the Sungai Sekonyer river offered by Varada Borneo. After flying from Jakarta to Pangkalan Bun in Kalimantan, we were picked up at the airport by Darmin, our guide . Our first stop was at the Tangung Harapan feeding station, where we saw Roger, the huge alpha male orangutan, together with many female and baby orangutans. Here, the rangers provide the orangutans with bananas and sweet potatoes on a raised viewing platform. We then went back to the klotok for a rest before enjoying delicious food prepared by our great cook, Niah. In the evening, we went on a short night hike where we saw many jungle spiders and a couple of birds. After a comfortable night’s sleep, we visited the second feeding station at Pondok Tanggui, where we saw orangutans and long tailed Macaques enjoying the food provided by the rangers. After lunch, we visited the third feeding station at Camp Leakey. Unfortunately, only one orangutan appeared for the food, but we were entertained by a gibbon tiptoeing across the feeding platform before grabbing his bananas and swinging through the trees. We returned to the klotok for a relaxing afternoon and evening and another delicious meal. On our return trip to the harbour the next day, Darmin pointed out proboscus monkeys in the trees along the water’s edge. We were driven back to Pangkalan Bun and on to the airport for our return flight to Jakarta. We do not hesitate to recommend the tour company Varada Borneo and particularly our great guide, Darmin, who was very informative and who took good care of us throughout our tour.

Orangutans stole our hearts - Orangutans, the jungle and the river are out of this world. It is wonderful that such places still exist and we were privileged to visit them. We had a great and knowledgeable guide - Ana. She is devoted to her job, she knows how to take care of adults and kids. Our six-year-old son - Tom fell in live with her. We felt safe with Ana and the boat crew. We loved jungle walks, the life on the boat, the JUNGLE adrenaline and of course ORANGUTANS. We had a talented chef whose meals tasted and looked SO yummy. WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK.
