Awesome Day in Lombok! - We enjoyed a splendid day on the beautiful island of Lombok, thanks in large part to the excellent tour we went on and because of our exceptional guide Prie. We had arranged the tour ahead of time with the help of Dodi, who was outstanding, responsive, and friendly in his communications. He also provided us with a list of possible options we could consider on this customizable tour, which allowed for us to get a sense of what we might like to do in our time in Lombok. While we were looking forward to our visit to Lombok, the actual day we spent there (as part of a visit via cruise on the NCL Jewel, which docked at Gili Mas Port in Lembar) far surpassed our expectations. One of the big reasons why was our guide that we had the good fortune of having that day - Prie. I have had many, many excellent guides over the years on various tours, but Prie ranks in the top 5 guides ever. He was superb - exceptionally kind, welcoming, friendly, professional, resourceful, and knowledgeable. We couldn't have asked for better! What's more, the tour we went on was outstanding, full of great sights and experiences. We visited the Sasak Village, walked through terraced rice fields (amazing experience!!) in the heart of the island, hiked to a couple of very scenic waterfalls (Stokel and Kelambu) in Rinjani National Park, had a delicious lunch in Aik Berik, and even enjoyed a shopping stop en route back to the ship. It was a very full, very memorable day - one that we will look back upon fondly for many years to come! We enthusiastically recommend the "Hire Lombok Driver" tour company if you happen to visit Lombok.

Great tour away from cruise ship chaos - The communication from start to finish was great. Tour guide was on time and had the details of itinerary previously discussed. His vehicle was clean and spacious. He spoke English well and gave great info on sites, history, and culture. He kept the schedule timely, went to each place we’d requested, and had us back to the ship in adequate time. All around great experience!

This is just a driver service, not a tour, but the waterfalls are a MUST SEE - The driver was very courteous, on time and helpful, but that's really all you get. It should not be marketed as a "tour". It's just a private driver service. At every location, we were asked to pay another person to take us around, often without a set fee, so lots of awkwardness. Also, stay away from the "pottery village." It's essentially just a pottery shop where you're just expected to buy stuff. The pottery class was a joke. The highlight, on the other hand, were the Kelambu and Stokel waterfalls. MUST SEE.

Primitives!!! - The waterfall is very small, dirty and the people are like animals!! For women it is very uncomfortable and you feel like a piece of meat!!!!
