Labuan Bajo Sunset Tour
Batu Cermin Cave - Upon arrival at Komodo International Airport, our team will greet you. Enjoy lunch at Mari Makan Resto before heading to Goa Batu Cermin for a guided tour. Labuan Bajo, a renowned tourist spot in Indonesia, offers not only stunning underwater beauty but also fascinating natural attractions on land. One such place is Goa Batu Cermin, a cave with unique and mesmerizing natural features. Located in Batu Cermin Village, this cave spans around 19 hectares and stands approximately 75 meters tall. It is named ‘mirror rock’ because sunlight enters the cave’s gaps and reflects off the rocks, illuminating the entire cave. Discovered in 1951 by a Dutch archaeologist, Batu Cermin Cave was originally underwater but rose to its current position due to seismic activity.
Sylvia Hill - Next, head to Sylvia Hill, also known as Puncak Waringin, to witness a breathtaking sunset in eastern Indonesia. Labuan Bajo is not just about Komodo dragons and marine tourism; its hills are also captivating tourist destinations. Sylvia Hill offers stunning views of small islands scattered across the sea and a picturesque row of anchored tourist boats. Located just a 10-minute drive from Labuan Bajo city center and close to Komodo Airport, this spot is easily accessible. Dinner will be served at Kelan Resto, followed by hotel check-in.
Labuan Bajo Island Exploration and Komodo Dragon Encounter
Padar Island - After breakfast at the hotel, take a speed boat to visit various spots on the second day, including Komodo Island to see the Komodo dragons. Padar Island, the third largest in the Komodo National Park, is closer to Rinca Island than Komodo Island, separated by the Lintah Strait. The island is surrounded by three or four smaller islands and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Although Komodo dragons do not inhabit Padar Island due to a broken food chain, the island is home to other reptiles like gold ring snakes, monitor lizards, geckos, and green snakes. The surrounding waters are popular for scuba diving and snorkeling.
Pink Beach - Pink Beach, located on the north side of Padar Island, is a must-visit spot in Komodo National Park. The beach features beautiful pink sand, a result of white sand mixing with red coral fragments, and a stunning blue sea. The soft white sand adds to the beach’s charm.
Komodo Island - Komodo Island, part of the Komodo National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for being the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon. As of August 2009, the island was home to around 1,300 Komodo dragons, with a total population of about 2,500 across nearby islands like Rinca and Gili Motang. Additionally, around 100 Komodo dragons live in the Wae Wuul Nature Reserve on Flores Island, outside the national park. The island also boasts exotic flora, including Sepang wood used by locals for medicine and dye, and the nitak tree (Sterculia oblongata), known for its medicinal properties and tasty seeds.
Taka Makassar Island - Taka Makassar is a tiny, drop-shaped island in Komodo National Park, featuring a mix of white and pink sand. This small sandbar, smaller than a football field, has clear blue waters and only emerges during low tide. Located near Manta Point, a popular gathering spot for Manta Rays, the island is known for its strong currents and is the longest reef in the park.
Manta Point - At Manta Point Labuan Bajo, you’ll be mesmerized by the underwater beauty and the graceful movements of manta rays in their natural habitat. These gentle giants, which can reach up to 7 meters in width, are often seen feeding and playing in the clear waters. Observing manta rays up close is an unforgettable experience for marine life enthusiasts.
Kanawa Island - Kanawa Island is a small paradise with crystal-clear waters, white sand, and stunning coral reefs. The island’s blue water gradient is a testament to the beauty of Flores Island, from west to east. Starting from Komodo Island National Park, you can eventually reach Kanawa Island, a hidden gem on the edge of West Flores.
