After resting at Pos 1 Pemantauan (1,300 m), the trek continues for about three hours to Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500 m), offering stunning views of Mt. Rinjani’s summit (3,726 m). After another hour’s ascent to Pos 3 Pada Balong (1,800 m), the trek involves a 3.5-hour climb through pine-like Casuarinas, locally known as Cemara, with possible sightings of wild pigs and long-tailed grey macaque monkeys, reaching the campsite at Plawangan II Sembalun crater rim (2,639 m).
