Authentic tour - We were able to experience a great and exciting tour today. Semy the driver picked us up on time and safely and drove us back again. Jalal was an extremely friendly and informed guide who speaks good English. Through Jalal we learned a lot about life on Lombok. The places visited are beautiful, but sometimes the trail is challenging.

Stunning views, great trek/hike, refreshing and beautiful waterfalls, and a wonderful tour guide! - My sister and I had a blast thanks to our driver, Kiki, and tour guide, Eddy. This was definitely the highlight of our Lombok trip! Kiki is a safe driver who is very knowledgeable about Lombok and its surrounding islands. He was a great conversationalist but also let us know that we could rest and nap at any time. He checked in on us occasionally to make sure we were good and offered to stop at any place if we wanted to see the markets up close. Eddy led our tour and our first stop was watching his family make ground coffee and we had breakfast before we started our trek around the village. He was super funny, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the place he calls home. He made sure to check in on us every step of the way and had the perfect balance of cracking jokes, telling us about the various plants, produce, and vegetation, and also just silent appreciation of nature. We saw two beautiful waterfalls and swam in both and we spent a lot of time there so it was so worth it! We ended at a restaurant inside the village that had amazing jackfruit curry and fried bananas! All in all, the views were stunning, we had great company the whole time, and we got a fair amount of exercise in. The folks in the village were also extremely kind and friendly especially the kids!

TETEBATU Day - It was a great day. There were three of us and the Djalal guide who was great. These are beautiful rice fields and beautiful waterfalls, almost alone in the world. We had the chance to see the dreams despite a torrential rain 5 min before. Small + also for the driver, who is super nice! Thanks again...

Amazing scenery and spectacular waterfalls - The driver Sammy picked us up at out accommodation which was very nice. We were very lucky with our guide Eddy, he was a lot fun and could show and explain us everything. The highlights were the two amazing waterfalls. Overall a very nice experience we can recommend it!

Excellent experience! - We chose Johny's tours after reading good reviews. The reviews were spot on! We were collected on time from our hotel by Kiki. He drove safely and with consideration for other road users. Kiki gave us a lot of interesting facts on route. We arrived at the start of the Rice fields and met by Jalal who took us on a very enjoyable, informative and friendly day out. Jalal was an excellent host, he was always looking after our interests and never once did he make us feel rushed or pushed. For me being in my late sixty's (and not that fit) the day was achievable and we'll worth the effort. Top marks to the team, we will definitely use them again!

Immersive walk into the heart of Lombok. Very nice! - The Tetebatu walking tour with Dani was awesome! During the tour we got a very nice glimpse into the way of living of the people of the Tetebatu area, while beholding some of Lombok wonders (terrace rice fields, waterfalls, jungle). Dani was very nice and enthusiastic and gave us a lot of interesting information about local fruits and plants, rice farming, local social organization, etc. Would highly recommend to anyone willing to explore the heart of Lombok.

Amazing tour of Tetebatu - Yesterday we had the great pleasure of going on a tour of the beautiful Tetebatu area on Lombok. Our friendly driver Sukana picked us up from the hotel at 8am and after a 1.5 hr drive through nature and villages, we arrived at the starting point of the walking tour through beaming green rice fields. Our two lovely tour guides Jalal and his young colleague Onni greeted us with big smiles. We started our walk and visited a family who grew coffee and we could be part of the roasting process and had a sample of delicious local coffee roasted with coconut and rice. Then we continued our walk to a family who made coconut oil. We tried coconut, coconut water and bought a bottle of smooth coconut oil. Our walk took us through luscious rice fields towards the most amazing secret waterfall, where we took a bath in the refreshing water. The path was very adventurous over bamboo bridges and through the river. Our guides offered assistance and gave us a helping hand wherever needed. They helped us carry the backpack and gave us all the time to take photos. We felt very well taken care of throughout the entire day. We walked to an other beautiful waterfall where again we had the opportunity to take a swim. Then we rested a bit and had a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. The Jackfruit curry was the absolute best! After our break we continued our walk and headed towards the close-by monkey forest. 3 little dogs followed our way, which was very enjoyable. Our knowledgeable guides explained the local flora and fauna to us. We discovered a family of Makaks sitting in the trees and another 3 female black monkeys with their babies. So amazing! As we left the monkey forest our best driver was already waiting for us. We hugged our wonderful guides farewell and enjoyed the safe and comfortable ride back to the hotel. We recommend this tour to everyone visiting the beautiful island of Lombok. Look out for Jalal and Onni when booking the trip! They are the most enjoyable and fun company! Thank you for an unforgettable day!

Super authentic - Ivani picked us up on time at the port. The journey was quite long, as the traffic on Lombok is unbelievable. Ihwani is covering very safe driver. Arriving in Tetebatu we were met by his colleague who showed us his homeland. I think he knows every grain of rice there, the trekking walk was super authentic and quite demanding. Here you should be good on foot and sure-footed.
