Great guide made the paddle tour extra special - Great evening kajak with Shurr. Relaxing paddle made special by our guide Ted who handily shared his wide knowledge about nature in general and Yellowstone in specific. Besides he’s very much fun to be with and has a genuine interest in the guests he guides.

July in Yellowstone - Kayaking with Shurr Adventures - Our family took the sunset kayak tour recently and our guide was Ted. Ted is great. We love Ted. Ted is extremely knowledgeable about the area, was able to point out all the cool birds, give advice on how to improve our paddling, and had all the best jokes to keep us entertained. The trip was amazing and I'd highly recommend this company, and Ted specifically. The weather was fantastic and there was so much to see. Definitely the best way to experience what Yellowstone has to offer.

Thank you Joe! - My fiance and I had a wonderful time out on Yellowstone Lake with our tour guide Joe. The group was small, the pace was gentle for beginners, and we had plenty of time to take in the gorgeous views. We took one small break on land and were provided some light snacks (pack something small of your own or eat beforehand if you have nut allergies). Joe was wonderful and provided a great deal of information about the park's history, the lake, Mission 66, the wildlife nearby, and the thermal features that we passed by on the tour. We went in the first week of July when the mountain weather was still dropping to the 30s and 40s at night, so bring lots of warm layers! With the orientation and preparation to go out on the water, we ended up spending approximately 3 hours out in the kayaks. Overall, I thought it was a great experience and would recommend it to those visiting Yellowstone for the first time!

Family Fun at Its Best - Our family of 8 ranged in age from 8 to 72, and every one of us loved the experience. Our guides, Joe and Ted, were fantastic! They were very professional and at the same time very welcoming. They were patient with showing us inexperienced kayakers the best way to manage our kayaks. While on the trip, they shared a wealth of information about the area, which made for an even more enjoyable trip. Being one of the more inexperienced kayakers, I was a bit worried about tiring out, but that wasn't a problem at all. (Definitely helped that I was in a tandem kayak!) The experience was a treat from beginning to end and one of the highlights of our visit to Yellowstone.

Beautiful sunset kayak adventure - The sunset trip was great, you get to see geysers you can't see from the trail above, and they are only visible from being on the lake. Plus Ted, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the local birds and geology and had plenty of dad jokes!

A storm followed by a double rainbow! - The lake was breathtaking and our guide Quentin was patient, informative, and helpful! He was so awesome with my kids that when we saw him driving down the road the following day, my son insisted we flag him down to say, “Hi”. On our trip, we got caught in a surprise thunderstorm. Quentin got us safely to shore, made sure we were warm, and helped the time pass quickly with friendly conversation. What followed was nothing short of magical, a perfectly still lake with a double rainbow and vivid reflection in the water. Definitely something we’ll never forget!

Great trip, great tour guide! - This is a great trip for anyone of any fitness level and great for families with young children. Our guide, Joe, was super knowledgeable on the geological features of the lake and the history of Yellowstone. We took a break on a beach for a quick snack and continued out to the geyser basin on the lake shore. We even saw some Elk coming out of the woods and into the basin. The tour included splash jackets, life vests, water proof bags and boxes for any additional clothing you wanted to bring and to key your phone and keys safe. Highly recommend!
