- Vancouver - Snorkel while observing Vancouver’s resident harbour seals during this 5-hour adventure boat tour! Board our boat from Horseshoe Bay with your adventure guide, where we’ll take you by boat to the local seal colony. Slip into the provided snorkel gear and wetsuit, then dive in for an up-close experience with seals, following their lead! Snorkel around the bay and the rocks, experiencing the marine environment while in a 40ft customized vessel. A sightseeing-only option is available for those passengers who wish to stay dry on the boat. All snorkeling equipment, refreshments, and light snacks are included.
Please note this tour is created for sightseeing only, we do not encourage interaction with the seals. However, seals all have unique personalities and some may swim right up to you to have a closer look! In these events we encourage all adventurers to simply stay still and let the seal do it’s thing. All snorkelers must agree and abide to our marine protection guidelines before entering the water.

Experience the authentic West Coast on our Snorkel Adventure, just a short distance from Vancouver, during this thrilling 5-hour expedition. Dive into the beautiful waters of Howe Sound for a snorkeling session, followed by a visit to Pam Rocks to see the charming seal colony. If you’re up for it, put on a wet suit and snorkeling gear for a swim in the ocean. If you’d rather keep dry, there’s a ‘just sightseeing’ choice as well. Snorkeling gear, light bites, and refreshments are all provided.
- Please note: There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. ‘Sightseeing Only’ option cannot operate without enough divers or snorkelers.
- Guests must be able to swim
- Guest weights, heights, and shoe size must be shared with staff at time of booking.
- Trip operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. If canceled due to poor weather, an alternative date will be suggested.
- Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian
- Children under 19 must have waiver signed by parent or guardian

Seal adventure near Vancouver, BC, August 2024 - Went solo in August 2024. The guides were friendly and made our trip very enjoyable. We snorkeled in an area close to seals being respectful of noise and space. Went to a 2nd location with the option of snorkeling, kayaking, or paddle boarding near seals. The locations were beautiful in the "Southernmost Fjord" north of Vancouver. Met great fellow travelers. Small snacks and hot cocoa on our boat ride. Beautiful adventure!

Super awesome, can’t wait to go back - Andrew, Rob and Captain Kevin were awesome. Honestly wish we could’ve just stayed out on the water forever. Everyone was incredibly helpful and great to work with. My wife and I got some great footage, had an amazing time and would say this was the best part of our time in Vancouver. If you’re looking for a great way to spend some time in the water, see the beautiful natural scenery and see seals in their element, this is by far the best option for you.

Best day ever! - Easily the best day of my life. We went out with Chris, Robin and Bryan and they were fantastic. The entire experience was fantastic and they were so kind, friendly and informative. They shared a lot of history about the area and neat things to look out for. We got to do a few stops and saw so many beautiful seals, starfishes and jellyfishes. Could not imagine a better way to spend a day in Vancouver! Plus there was lots of snacks, homemade soup and hot chocolate ☺️

GREAT excursion! - We really enjoyed the seal & sea lion snorkel trip. We saw at least 40-50 seals & sea lions. Our guide Andrew was really great. He was very knowledgeable and funny. After snorkeling very close to seals and sea lions, we kayaked along the shore of an island and saw several other sea life that included vibrant purple and orange starfish. We were worried we might be cold in the sea, but the wet suits kept us very comfortable. It was a great excursion with amazing views!

An excellent day out with a great team - A brilliant experience!
The team at Sea Dragon were really attentive from the start to finish - helping with equipment, ensuring everyone was safe and comfortable, and generally adding a lot to the day. Compared to other similar companies we've been with, Sea Dragon were excellent.
One thing we were worried about was the wetsuits and putting them on, but the team worked with each individual to get a size that fitted, and helped us to put them on - not an easy task!
Even if you do not kayak or snorkel, it is still a great experience to go out into the bay, watch the seals, and take in the scenery.

Worth it, 10/10!! - It was such a fun day, the captain and the crew were amazing hosts. We went to 2 seal colonies, some of the seals came up close and nibbled on our flippers. The hot choco was great after swimming in the cold water (even though it’s not that cold with the wet suits on). We had an amazing time and we were really glad we booked this tour.

Great fun with the Sea Dragon - We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion with the Sea Dragon crew! We saw lots of seals, spent quality time in the water, had a fun and easy kayak experience during which we saw lots more seals, and enjoyed a cup of soup and tea afterward. Our guides were kind, professional and organized, and we felt safe and cared for. Thank you!!
