Embark on an exhilarating, self-guided boating adventure from Sewell’s Marina Ocean Adventure Centre in West Vancouver, BC.
Upon arrival, please present identification and a credit card for a $250 deposit, which will be refunded upon the rental’s completion. Select and pay for one of two insurance options upon arrival. After completing the paperwork (approximately 10 minutes), receive comprehensive safety instructions. The local tour operator will provide maps and trip suggestions based on the available time. Once everything is reviewed, a temporary permit will be issued for the boat’s operation during the trip.
Navigate any desired course on the waters. With over 22 islands within reach, you can even catch a glimpse of downtown Vancouver from the southern area — a breathtaking view. Visit a seal colony or bird sanctuary, stop at an island for homemade pie or local artisan shops, and watch for orcas and humpback whales. There’s something for everyone.
Included are safety instructions, a 17-foot boat, the first tank of fuel, all necessary safety equipment (such as life jackets), maps, and points of interest. Life jackets are available for children from 20 pounds to adults. The boat has enough fuel for up to 3.5 hours.
Upon returning to the marina, a staff member will assist with docking the boat, while someone at the check-in counter will finalize any remaining rental details.
