Great variety and value - A really enjoyable tour around some lovely independent businesses. A great variety of stops, some for tasters and others more substantial food providers. Lots of fun and food with Ellen, who also talked about the history of the area as we walked around, pointing out sights and revealing legends too. Very good value for money.

Hidden Gems food tour - We went on the hidden gems tour on 6th July as part of my daughters hen do celebrations.
Would totally recommend, Lynda was a great guide and we had a lot of fun.
Lots of quirky places that I had never been to before despite living around Leeds for many years.
Nice touch was the little extras that were added to the tour, tailored to the people on our tour .
Just the right number of people in our group.
My husband very jealous so may be going again as I understand there are lots of different venues!
Thanks again for making our day so memorable.

Food Tour delight. - We booked the tour as a surprise for our best friends birthday and we are so glad we did. Lynda our guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable.
All 6 stops were fantastic and it was impossible o pick a favourite as all of them offered something different and delicious. Lynda and Leeds Food Tours along with the venues went above and beyond for my friends birthday and had lots of little surprises along the way to make it extra special. Its these touches that mean so much and I would happily recommend this tour to someone visiting the area or to a fellow local as a fun way to explore new places in your local area. I am allergic to wheat and diary and that was not a problem at all. I was catered for at every stop and Lynda made sure I was ok with all the food provided. I cant rave enough about this tour. We all loved it and will definitely be back on one of their other tours.

Siblings food tour - This was a brilliant tour led by our guide Lynda who was super knowledgable about the facts of Leeds. Great food, great company and great idea for a day out in Leeds.
I bought lots of foodie presents and could have spent much longer at each venue.
Thank you

Highly Recommend The Leeds 'Hidden Gems' Food Tour - What a fab way to spend an afternoon........we ate at some fantastic places that we would never have thought to try (or even knew were there)! Our tour guide, Lynda was entertaining and full of fun facts about the venues, the food and Leeds. We took some friends as a birthday present, they liked it so much they want to go again...hope that they take us!

A different perspective on food in Leeds - Such a good day. Nice group of people to do it with. The aim was for us to experience some different food outlets to make our regular trips into Leeds a little more interesting as we visit the same places all the time. We were not disappointed with the choice of venues. The host was great, very knowledgeable. Would recommend.

Underwhelmed - We booked a self-guided 'Hidden Gem' tour, not knowing where we would be visiting or what we would be eating. Our first stop was at Delhi Wala where we could pick a dish from the Street Food section ( £6.50), although there were quite a few options that weren't included. Having said that, the food was tasty and it was a good start. Second up was Stuzzi where we had an arancini each (£5 - not sure if that was the cost for one or two). Really tasty. Drinks here quite pricey. Third up was Sweet Saeeda where you had a choice of sandwiches (£6.50) but it was one to share. Although it was nice it was very small. Next was The Cheesy Living Co at the Corn Exchange. This was excellent and the only one I would return to. The platter was so well presented, the cheese and accompaniments were excellent. The owner (?) was lovely and the wine we had with it was really good. No idea what the value was. Next up was Sqew. Great friendly staff and a gut busting portion (about £12 each I think) , although not the kind of food we usually eat and I definitely wouldn't again. Kebab meat, chips and salad isn't really showcasing a 'Hidden Gem'. Our final stop, which we were looking forward to, was Roberto Gelato. However, when we got there at 4.30 it was already closed. Really disappointed as we had read it closed at 5pm. Although I know we could use the token for this on another day we don't live in Leeds and had travelled there specifically for the tour so that isn' an option.
Overall it was an okay afternoon but, for a self-guided tour, was very overpriced. With two of the venues in the market and two others being kebab meat and Indian Street food, I don't see how this was different to the actual street food tour. I'm sure Leeds has far better venues to showcase. Wouldn't recommend the tour but would definitely recomment The Cheesy Living Co.

Far too expensive for what it is. - The food wasn’t great and they were small portions. One stop you don’t get any food you just try chilli sauce, one place the food wasn’t cooked properly, one place the food was great, the gelato stop is a waste of time -no choice of flavours and it wasn’t good and the other two places were substandard. The tour guide was nice but didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know (we live in Leeds).
All in all for the price, I wouldn’t go anywhere near it. Even at half the price, I wouldn’t bother. The total of the food you get is less than £25 and that’s being generous. You pay £50 to walk around with someone, who knows a little about some places in Leeds.
