A lovely way to spend the day - Enjoyed our guide, who gave us just enough info and history to make the story come alive, but not too much that we didn’t have some quiet time to think and talk to each other. The day was well organized, and was a lovely way to see more of this incredible area of the world.

Half day well spent. - Great little tour. Our guide and driver, Peter Fox, was excellent. The itinerary fitted a lot into half a day. We had a chance to see a number of lakes and tarns as well as visiting Beatrix Potter related sites, including the garden the inspired Mr McGregor's Garden.

Safe, kind, patient and knowledgeable. - The tour was everything you could with for. Shery , our driver and tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, kind and patient. Her commentary was clear, loud enough to hear and a very very safe driver. The gentleman, Stef , who accompanied her was a true gentleman, friendly and easy to speak to. We will definitely use Mountain Goat again when visiting the area. Thank you Jesson Family

Bucket List Tour -- Unforgettable! - Fabulous tour with Peter Fox (not Rabbit), who expertly drove the cozy, warm van while sharing local history and facts about Potter and the Lake District (more sheep than people!). Peter made sure we were all comfortable and tended to throughout the day. I had a service dog with me, and he was very kind to my pup, too. Don't hestitate--this is the best way to see the Lake District. He navigated the narrow windy roads expertly and got us to all the sights, so we had time for each visit, never feeling rushed. The tour ended with cream tea at a hotel in a house once owned by Potter. If you get a chance to go to the tea shop in Hawkshead while on the tour, their scones and tea are much better than the one at the end of the tour, so get cream tea there instead. It's Ginny's Teapot. I hesitated to double up, but then was glad I did as the scones were incredible! Also, tuck an umbrella in your bag in case of rain, though we were lucky and had very little. I'd lost my umbrella and Peter helped me find one to buy at one of our stops, so I stayed warm and dry the whole time.

A Must For Any Beatrix Fan Young Or Old - I'm not a massive Beatrix Potter fan but I was visiting Windermere so took a few hours out to visit this attraction and I have to say that for the £10.50 entrance fee it is well worth the money as I really enjoyed it. I took my time and was around it in just over an hour but you can take as long as you want. The displays were well set out and the whole place was nice and clean with friendly staff. It's is a must for any Beatrix Potter fan no matter what age and even if you're not a massive fan it's still worth a look. Very highly recommended attraction if you're in or near Windermere.

Great tour! - The winding narrow lanes lined with rock walls were quite charming. Hill top was very fun. The ferry ride on lake Windermere was my favorite part.
