Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau Maori Art Gallery - Admission grants all-day access to various spaces. Explore the Hundertwasser in New Zealand 1973-2000 exhibition and be inspired by the largest collection of Hundertwasser artworks outside Vienna, along with living examples of his ecological practices. The Wairau Māori Art Gallery, the world’s first dedicated Māori public art gallery, features rotating exhibitions.
Atop the building, the award-winning Afforested Roof with its golden cupola offers sweeping views of the Hātea River and city.
A small film theatre continuously runs documentaries, and the MuseumShop offers a wide selection of Hundertwasser’s applied art, unique objects, and gifts, as well as Wairau Māori Art Gallery merchandise.
To complete the experience, enjoy the onsite Café-Restaurant overlooking the marina, serving brunch, lunch, and dinner.
