We chose the 9 AM trip on June 22, 2024. Our safety guide, Emile, was very professional and frequently encouraged and guided us. I have no rock climbing or indoor climbing experience; the most dangerous thing I have done is hiking the Tiger Leaping Gorge in China, where sometimes you need to use your hands to climb down. This was entirely new for me. There were three points where I needed to take deep breaths and encourage myself, saying, "You can do it!" By the last stage, I was talking to myself, like "Step on the small rock on the left, you can do it!" Emile’s footprints in the snow were a huge help, and his constant encouragement, “you got this!” was motivating. The points where I needed deep breaths and self-encouragement were: First, when I initially needed the safety rope and saw small rocks slipping, I got a bit scared, especially since I’m only 158 cm with short legs. Second, there was a large ladder gap where I needed to ask Emile where to step; my legs were trembling from exhaustion and fear. Emile patiently showed me where to step, boosting my confidence. Third, near the end, there was a spot with snow on the left rock and a gap between it and my rock. I was scared, so I decided to climb higher on the right rock without snow, even though my legs are short, I felt safer. The whole process took over three hours, but I didn’t feel it at all. I was entirely focused on my safety. The climbing area had only the three of us, which was very quiet and spiritually healing. By the end, I felt a sense of rebirth! It was wonderful! Huge thanks to Emile for his professionalism! By the way, we saw four black bears on the cable car up and down the mountain and two marmots fighting at the top, which was super cute!

Amazing, even with fear of heights - I have a very strong fear of heights. I almost backed out when we got to the top of the gondola and looked at where we were going to climb. Thankfully I was able to put aside my fear and do the climb. Our guide Victor was great. The view is amazing up there. Make sure to bring sunscreen and water, and to wear wool socks.

Fun & Beautiful - Today a group us did the Via Ferrata in Whistler. I had no idea what to expect and it was so much fun! As someone who is pretty scared of heights I had great time and am so pleased I gave in and did it. Our guide Maya was the absolute best. So supportive, kind, encouraging and took me under her wing. Thank you Maya! The whole group really enjoyed the day, the views were beautiful and it was challenging but not as strenuous as I thought it would be. Phew! I felt very safe. Again, thanks to Maya for all her help.

What an incredible experience - An incredible experience that is a must try for all outdoor enthusiasts. First time visiting Whistler and found this gem of an experience. Never tried Via Ferrata before so it was all new for us. Victor, our tour guide, was very friendly and patient with everyone in our group. Explaining each step along the course, and filling us in on interesting facts about the area and pointing out geographic features of the area. We generally felt safe the entire trip and didn’t feel rushed. The lift requires a tickets so best to purchase it ahead of time to avoid delays. You first go up the Whistler gondola to the via Ferrata trail. Afterwards you have the option to do more trails at the top Whistler mountain or take the peak 2 peak gondola to Blackcomb mountain and explore that area. Keep in mind the earlier tour is better as it gives you time in the afternoon to enjoy and explore the mountain tops.

AMAZING experience!!! - We did this as a private tour with our 11-year-old nephew and it was an AMAZING experience. The adrenalin rush, the conquering of fears, the feeling of accomplishment, the views. We want to give a HUGE shout-out to our guide, Rob: he was phenomenal! He was very patient with this old auntie ;) and a great teacher.

Earning your views in Whistler. - My partner wanted to do something outdoors, something challenging, and something that would provide great views of the surrounding area. We’ve tried a via ferrata route in Colorado before so we figured we would give the Whistler Via Ferrata tour a try. The weather was iffy but after speaking with Jonas and our guide, Jeremy, we decided to give it a go. It was definitely a good decision, the gondola ride up was cool, the hike to the start was a nice warm up and Jeremy shared a lot of interesting info on the area. After going over the safety information we headed up the mountain. It was challenging, beautiful and the weather turned out great! We felt safe and Jeremy did a great job guiding us.

Fantastic - Fantastic trip. Guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time. We're walkers but not climbers and found this was just the right side of challenging.
