Learn how to back your kayak up into the world famous Emerald Cave/Cove to get some stunning memorable photos of the emerald green water. The cave itself is the cherry on top of a spectacular afternoon on the beautiful section of river we paddle. The guided kayak tour takes place within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and there is an admission fee per vehicle to enter which is payable direct upon entry. This admission fee is waived if you have a current National Park annual pass or military ID.

After visiting the Emerald Cave/Cove, you’ll proceed to a beach in the Canyon where a catered lunch awaits. This stop also offers time to swim or simply unwind and take in the stunning views of the Black Canyon.
You’ll be equipped with top-notch gear and guided by world-class experts and professional office staff.
The total paddling distance ranges from 4 to 6 miles.
- We offer single or tandem (2 seater) kayaks. Please specify which kayak you would prefer.
- The Emerald Cave is just a small cutout of the mountain for a great photo op!
- We provide life vests. Please specify which size you would prefer. S/M, L/XL, 2XL/3XL
- You will be meeting us at the marina. Have reliable transportation to meet us 30 minutes before your tour start time, there is NO cell service at the marina to call a ride share.

Kayak and Hoover Dam experience - Had an amazing half day out on the water with Ryan our guide who then took us to Hoover Dam to complete our day. Ryan was fantastic and made sure our kayak trip and visit to Hoover Dam was an unforgettable experience. Very good communication with the company beforehand (Thank you Kristin) as the weather was forecast to get increasingly windy. They kept us up to date and we managed to sort out the trip that we will remember for a long time.

An amazing experience!!! - From my first phone call to the memories made, before during and after this adventure I felt so comfortable and confident on our first kayaking adventure. I highly recommend Evolution Expeditions to all visiting Las Vegas, even during the winter. We were blessed to get Faith as our guide for the day. She made sure to give great instructions before we started and continued to share her knowledge and compassion about the animals, life and earth itself all while making sure all in her group were still smiling and enjoying everything.

A Must-Do Experience - My family had the best time! Ryan was a fantastic tour guide and the sites were just beautiful. It was challenging enough for those of us that were in great shape but easy enough to keep up for for those of us that weren’t in such great shape. My kids (ages 10 and 12) had a blast. The scenery was beautiful. The paddling was fun and it was just really great chance to be out on the water. Also, the customer service and promptness of communication with the office was really fantastic.

Kayaking with Ryan - The experience was great! Ryan was really nice and helpful as a guide and explains how to kayak. It was my first time kayaking and felt supported and assured. The route was well-planned, with plenty of opportunities to take breaks and enjoy the surroundings. The guide were knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts about the area and giving helpful tips along the way. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time, no matter their experience level. Highly recommend!

Great Adventure on the Colorado River - We originally signed up for the "express" tour but due to demand, the tour operator moved us over to the "full" tour at no extra charge. Great customer service! Our tour guides, Aaron and Faith, were terrific! We had quite a number of guests in our group (16 I think) but it never felt like we were not getting attention from the guides. Aaron and Faith had very good background on the river, canyon, plant life and the early history of the dam building. The kayaks were top notch and easy to handle on the river. A plus, that initially seemed gimmicky, was the inclusion of water guns on each boat. These were perfect for cooling off in the hot sun while having fun "wars" with all the guests and guides. We stopped twice, once for a box lunch (what you would expect) and once to get views from a spot above the river. We even got to get in the 53 degree water which was needed after working our way up and down the river. We would highly recommend this tour!

Hot hot hot but worth it! - Awesome views, Faith was amazing to spend the day with. Stopped to see some big horn sheep after kayaking, overall I give it a 10/10

Would recommend and do again - Salvatore was an amazing guide. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sal was extremely knowledgeable about the would life as well as the w history.

Would do again - Costumer service was great when the third party screwed up our reservation. Our guide Salvatore was above and beyond. He was knowledgeable on all aspects of the river, wild life and history.
