Fabulous tour - thanks Sam! - We had arrived into Whitianga the day before and noticed the weather for our stay would be mixed so chose the following day to do a boat trip as the weather was at its best. We wanted to go to Cathedral Cove but didn’t particularly want to just get the water taxi or kayak from Hahei. We found that there was a company that goes for. Whitianga and does a trip that covers a large portion of the coast nearby as well as Cathedral Cove so that sounded perfect. Booked online for the next day without any problems. Boat started boarding at 1015 for a 1030 start. It goes from the same jetty as the ferry across the estuary so was easy to find. It’s a. Yellow coloured boat which can probably sit around 15 people and has a roof (and side curtains if required!) to keep the sun at bay. Our tour guide and captain was Sam. She did an excellent job throughout - good safety briefing and then a brilliant commentary as we toured the beaches and coves of this lovely coastline. Views were incredible and saw a lot of fish as well. An excellent way to spend a couple of hours and see what you can’t see from land. Thoroughly recommended.

Coromandel cruise - Well done tour guide. She was great at explaining the beautiful coastline and history. The best experience was in the cave and the fish pictures.

Cathedral Cove Trip - Brilliant. The info of the history and geology of the coastline was great! Sam was a fantastic pilot and guide. Cathedral Cove was awesome.

This is a definite must do in Whitianga - Great couple of hours out. Skipper was fantastic, very knowledgeable and pointed out many interesting features along the way. Highly recommend.

Cathedral cove tour - Great tour around Mercury bay and Cathedral cove. Rock formations stunning. We saw lots of snapper and a fur seal fast asleep on the rocks. Alex was funny and informative.

Wonderful Excursion! - Excellent trip around Cathedral Cove. Stunning rock formations and wonderful beaches. We were fortunate to see two seal pups on the rocks and Red Snappers. Very enjoyable with a passionate guide. Only disappointment- trip had to be cut short by half hour due to the swell. This would have made it perfect! Recommended.

Great experience! - We absolutely loved the tour, particularly because of our tour guide who was very knowledgeable and funny. The boat ride was cold (as expected in October) and enjoyable.

Nice and enjoyable way to spend the morning! - It is a lovely cruise to take in the sea, the mercury bay and the various rock formations. There is a maximum of 16 people per trip so everyone has a chance to take lots of photos. The guide was excellent and informative. I gave it a 4-star rating as the website says that we will visit hot water beach which did not happen. But this was a major problem since we got the full 2-hour ride.

Very friendly skipper - The whole experience was really cool. Kids loved watching the fish. Sam explained everything really well
