What a wonderful experience - This is really worthwhile. The guided tour of the house is really excellent. Each room is furnished as it was in its original splendour. The paintings and tapestry are nearly priceless and the tour guide provides all the information on might seek about each piece.

Not to be missed tour! - We arrived and didn't have enough time to wait for the next tour- so the lady gave us a quick private tour around the house rapid- style! We got so much information about the house and the owners it was amazing! The tour guide was a fountain of knowledge and so interesting. The house is wonderful, and the shop in the basement is beautifully curated. We had just enough time for coffee and homemade cake in the cafe, which was delicious and such good value. We would definately come back and spend more time here, such a wonderful place to visit!

Very worthwhile visit would certainly bring others. - The Guide was very good and explained things well and was very good with the 2grandchildren making things simple for them to understand.

Fabulous visit - I did a tour of the fabulous house with a wonderful guide George followed by a lovely lunch in the cafe and a sunny walk in the beautiful gardens.

Real life Jane Austen/Bridgerton experience - We very much enjoyed our visit to Russborough House. It is like stepping into a Jane Austen novel or being on the set of Bridgerton! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable — she knew the history of every piece of art and furniture in the rooms she took us through, and shared many interesting stories about the families who lived in the house. The grounds are beautiful and there is a nice cafe and shop. Definitely worth the drive to Wicklow.

Outstanding visit - We had family over on vacation from Canada 🇨🇦 and it was raining all morning so we just decided last minute to go to Russborough House.We were not disappointed as we took the last house tour of the day.Our guide was outstanding and her level of in-depth knowledge of the House,the families that had lived there and the contents of all the rooms was amazing.We will return to do the various walks etc available but highly recommend a visit

A wonderful way to spend a day. - Fantastic visit to Russborough House and Park, and a wonderful guided tour with Yvonne. The history of the house, its occupants and owners was told in such an interesting way we were captivated and the hour absolutely flew! The coffee shop served delicious food in ambient surroundings and the gift shop and downstairs exhibition held our attention too. Definitely will make a return visit someday. Thank you to the Foundation for making Russborough so accessible.

Nice ramble. - Lovely spot for ramble on a sunny day. Grounds are well kept with a kids Fairy trail, very well done. We didn't go to the onsite cafe. Seemed some of the property was closed for work but we enjoyed it none the less. We had a lovely meal after in a local pub West Wicklow House.

Hidden gem in Wicklow - Whilst doing a staycation in the Wicklow area, my friend and I stumbled upon Russborough House on our way home to Cork. What a wonderful surprise it was. Despite both of us quite enjoying history and architecture, we were surprised not to have heard of this place before. Perhaps it is overshadowed somewhat by Powerscourt. It appears Wicklow has quite an abundance of stately homes. We passed a very agreeable morning here starting with the exhibition in the basement introducing us to the history of the house and the Beit Family. If you are looking for inspiration in your life, 45 minutes down in this basement reading about the life of this family and their long legacy is enough to fuel anyone's ambitions to be more than they are. You name it: there is literally nothing that this family were not interested and involved in including Wexford's renowned Opera Festival. We then joined a tour. Due to social distancing measures, the house tour is now self-guided with an information leaflet and guides in various rooms should you have any questions. I was initially a bit disappointed about this but the guides were very proactive. As is too often the case, guides standing in rooms often don't interact with the visitor. Thankfully, this was not the case here. The guides proactively engaged with the visitor and didn't wait to be asked a question before engaging and volunteering information. There was an older gentleman that we were particularly impressed with who followed us through a few of the rooms and pointed out many of features that would otherwise have been lost on us. This was much appreciated. Special mention must be made to the two ladies at the ticket desk too who were very welcoming and let us explore the basement exhibition before the tour started as we were caught on time. After the tour, we took a quick walk around the gardens outside including the Victorian walled garden and the fairy house trail. Unfortunately we can't comment on the café or any of the artisan workshops as we didn't have time but should we ever be in the area again, we would definitely pop by to explore the gardens more. Overall, we would definitely recommend this house to anyone who likes history and beautiful architecture. The grounds are also a great place for walks and sure to delight families/couples in search of a romantic stroll.

Amazing place but restaurant needs improvement - Russborough house and gardens is well worth a visit! It’s the perfect place for a family day out. Although, It would be an even better experience if there was a great restaurant or coffee shop there. In my view, this is the only downside to a otherwise fantastic place.
