Best Yala Safari tour! - I highly recommend Yala Safaris - Private Tours! Our driver, Su, really made the experience and ensured we were first in line when the gates to the park opened. Su was incredibly informative about the animals and plants within Yala and guided us along the safari. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience, as we saw 3 leopards, many elephants, a bear and lots of other special animals that call Yala home. However, we were lucky on this particular day and please keep in mind that the driver and tour company have no control over what animals you will or won't see and it is not a reflection of them if you don't manage to see all that you hoped for.

Janaka safari jeep tours - Going on safari always remains an adventure. You must be lucky that you just spotted the animals you hope to see.We had I.G as a driver and he did his utmost to spot the leopard.Super leuk.Furthermore, we have been able to see crocodiles, elephants and many more species of animals. We felt from 5:00-12.00 (55 euros including admission for Yala ) intensive enough and were all tired of the bump and the short night. The driver had a Sri Lankan breakfast with him but with our western breakfast preference I would advise to bring something myself. All in all highly recommended to go with this company and hope you are lucky enough to spot the leopards and the bear.

Brilliant Trip - A brilliant safari - collected at 4:45am promptly and third in the queue to enter the park! The queue was long 😄 The guide Ishara was great - very knowledgable of the park and seemed to know everyone there so was able to get tips on where to go. Unfortunately the leopards weren’t about for us but we got to see elephants, sloth bear, crocs and the cutest baby wart hogs - plus lots of other creatures and birds including eagles. Would definitely recommend this tour - great price as well!

Great experience - We got to see many different animals and even had the good fortune to see a leopard child on the street next to 2 leopards in the tree. Our driver Mith was first in the park with us in the morning. He was very friendly and experienced.

It takes a little luck to see a leopard - Great safari with Sudu - his 23 years of experience as a tour guide have paid off. We were lucky because a leopard ran across the road right in front of our Jeep. But even if you don't see a leopard, Yala National Park is at least worth a half-day safari. Great scenery, great animals. The tour organizer Janaka also has a very nice guesthouse called "My Resort Yala" in Tissa. So if you want, you get everything you need for the tour from a single source. Highly recommended!

Ish - the leopard hunter - We had a morning safari with our driver Ish and 2 other guests. At 4:30am sharp (and even a bit before) Ish was waiting for us at our hotel. After a brief 'hello' we got in and Ish sped off with his jeep. We stopped for gas and to pickup the other guests, and Ish kept his pace throughout the trip to the ticket office. When we arrived at the ticket office at 5, Ish explained he wanted to be fast to be the first to arrive - and we did. He also explained that leopards are very elusive and are mostly seen early in the morning, when there aren't too many jeeps in the park yet. Soon after we arrived at the ticket office a lot of other jeeps started arriving (AFTER us). At 6am the gates of the park went open, we were still first in line. After 1 minute, I joke you not, literally 1 minute, Ish spotted a baby leopard on a rock (which we would not have seen if it wasn't for him pointing it out). The rest of the safari was also awesome, but the leopard definitely was the highlight. You need to accept Ish's driving style, which I trusted 100% - and it was even fun to wake up like this. Highly recommend, also fair price.

Damit the best safari driver!! - We went with Damit to a half day safari and he tried very hard to see leopards, and finally we saw it! He ran to the spot and allowed us to see the leopard from 2 meter away. It was awesome. Also, we saw a elephant family crossing the road (that was so magic too!) and a lot of buffalo's. Along the way, he was giving us interesting information about the fauna we saw.

Damit the best safari driver! - Damit was super punctual, at 4.40 we were ready to go to the safary entry. We arrived very early to the ticket office so we were among the first to arrive and therefore, the first to enter (it's very important to see animals). When we entry Damit was super focused on find out the leopard (that it's not always possible to see). We finally find it and he ran to the spot and allowed us to see the leopard from 2 meter away. It was awesome. Afterwards, we just go around to see differents animals while he explained us some tips of them. The breakfast was also very good. We had a very very good expirience. Thank you!!

Cool Safari! - Many thanks to our guide! He was very friendly and did his best to show us some of the animals. Unfortunately, we were a bit unlucky that we didn't get to see many animals. But that's not the guide's fault, so I can definitely recommend this tour anyway. In the end, we were able to see an elephant and a leopard, but otherwise we only saw toucans, varans and water buffalo. However, the guide himself was very experienced and drew our attention to many animals that we probably wouldn't have seen. Thank you!
