Private tour is the best way to spend the day! - Samurai did a masterful job with this private tour. From start to finish, it was relaxing, fun filled, and we accomplished all we could in our full day with Anita and Nadine. First, the transportation was incredible. We were in a very clean and well maintained van clearly marked under the Samurai banner. The air conditioning was next level and kept us cool between stops. Nadine drove us around like nothing I’ve ever seen. Never stressed, never rushed, and in control the entire time. We changed plans once during the day and Nadine didn’t bat an eye - just whipped the van around, took us to the next stop and we continued about our journey. Anita is a pure joy. Watching her interact with her friends on the island really personalizes the tour. How everyone treats each other is so refreshing. And once Anita introduces you, you seem to get sucked right into their conversation like old friends. Anita is full of history, culture, and information about the island that you feel that there is no question she can’t answer. And the little things that she throws in along the way keep you entertained all day long. During one of our rides between stops, she had Nadine pull off near a plantation to show us a grave of a slave and shared his story. It was an amazing story and showcases just how neat a personalized tour can be. To prepare - I actually wrote about 10 things down that I felt my wife and teenage daughter would enjoy. We were able to accomplish most of my list! Anita simply took my list, organized it according to how best to drive from one spot to the next and we were off! We visited the caves, the national park, flamingos, had an amazing lunch at a popular local restaurant, spent time on both sides of Queen Emma Bridge, and made my daughter’s day by visiting the Parfum Lab in Curacao where she was able to make her own perfume to serve as a reminder of her time on Curacao. But all along the way, to listen and watch Anita interact with her friends was top notch. Once, a shop owner actually opened his store for us simply because Anita ran into him on the street. At another time, we were introduced to an amazing artist that was painting in her studio. She was so gracious and humble and I was able to buy a piece of her work. I’m telling you - if you want an authentic and original tour catered to you - give Samurai a call. I can’t speak for the other guides but I can say you’ll have an amazing day with Anita and Nadine!! Thanks ladies for making our time one we will not forget!

Highlights of Curacao - Anita was a wonderful guide and very patient with my family. She planned a full itinerary for us based on our input and when my son had an allergic reaction she got us back to ship for medicine and then back on our adventure. I am so glad we had a private tour and they were very accomodating with our situation and we still got to see beaches, caves, turtles and eat at a scenic restaurant.

The most beautiful island with a great guide! - Our wonderful day in Curacao started with a land tour of the city and several historic site, where we learned about the history and culture of the island. On the way to the beach we had lunch at a charming little restaurant perched on a high cliff with amazing food and beautiful views of clear blue Caribbean waters below. After lunch we headed for the beach for a few hours of swimming and relaxation. This tour was flexible and allows guests to create a customized itinerary which we did with the help of our wonderful guide to ensure that we made the most of our time on the island.

Worth the money!! - We did a private tour with Ed. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We came with a list of places we wanted to see and he took it from there. Great tour and worth the extra money for a private tour! Would highly recommend!

See the whole island - Our tour guide Ali was very knowledgeable. Got to see a lot of the island from the developed parts, downtown Willemstad then the best part of the island, the West side. Definitely recommend requesting Ali. This is on a small bus so great for larger party of people

Kind of weird - It was nice to have our own driver to show us around but it was just my husband and I in a huge multi-passenger bus which felt kind of weird. The tour guide was great from a knowledge standpoint but I felt that for a private tour, we seemed rushed through a lot of places. He would often go with us to see the sites therefore it was not as “private” of a tour as I had hoped. Yes, we got to see a lot of Curaçao but it was kind of weird having someone follow you around while doing it.
