Windy day turned fabulous trip! - The winds were terrible, so my family thought the kayaking trip would be canceled. Mell and Max were our guides as we started out across the bay. While the kayaking was rough with all the wind, we encountered another issue: the oil rig that was usually further off coast, had moved closer to the shore and cut off safe passage for us to access the Tugboat Wreck. We beached the kayaks and Mell called his boss, who picked us up in a skiff and carried us to the spot we needed to be in for the snorkeling. The wind carried us to the Tugboat Wreck, which was covered in tons of beautiful fish, and then to the beach where our kayaks were beached and waiting for us. It turned out to be an excellent adventure and unforgettable underwater photos of the marine life.

Not sure if the life... - Not sure if the life vests were cleaned between each use. Guides were great. Not great communication on how much the cab was from the port to the destination.

Great experience thanks to Jasper! - The kayak and snorkel tour was perfectly guided by Jasper, the kayaking was quite easy as an inexperienced person and snorkel glasses and a bottle of water were neatly provided at the beach where you can also see the sunken tugboat, my mother and I really enjoyed it together (49 /24y)

Neat experience with wonderful sea life - Upon arriving, we were given a safety check and a demonstration on using the kayak before starting our adventure. We then crossed the waters to go snorkel. We did see the fort and oil rigs. We had to ask our tour guide for more information on each and it was very minimal. Once we got to the spot, it was not as secluded as they said but still very pretty. Other families we’re out soaking up the sun and other company’s for snorkeling, scuba diving, and underwater jets were present. We were given a mask, snorkel, and were pointed in the direction of the sunken boat for a self guided snorkeling time. One of the masks were not working and they were able to head back to provide a new one. When we finally found the boat, it was covered and surrounded by wildlife. The coral and fish around the bay was also very much alive and such a neat experience to see. After snorkeling, we headed back to our guide on the shore to get in our kayak and head back. Really neat experience!

Kayak and Snorkel - This is a small business that rents jet-skis and other watersports equipment. It was just us and a guide on a very windy day. First 15 min was hard work as we paddled against the wind to get to more sheltered water - just be advised if you are not in decent shape and it is a rough day. Snorkeling was off of a rocky beach to a sunken tugboat. Very close to a site that had an oil rig and drilling ship moored for repairs. Location was sheltered enough so that the snorkeling was easy. Tour operator does not provide fins (you can get to/from the tugboat without fins, but if you have your own you should bring them). Plenty of time to snorkel as much as we wanted. Great guide, very helpful and didn't rush us. They picked us up but paid for a taxi to take us back to the cruise ship pier. Had a hard time getting in touch with the business to confirm transportation - they didn't respond to emails until the morning of the tour.

Can’t Recommend - Booked through Vacations to Go (TA), while in port on a cruise. Meet time was supposed to be 1320, at 1345 no pickup. Very nice security person at cruise terminal phoned the company for us, then we were finally picked up. Business location has seen better times, looked like a place where old jet skis go to die! Double kayak was fine, but like other reviews have stated fairly tough paddle around dry docked oil rigs to a very rocky beach, only mask and snorkel, no fins to view a sunken ship. Chairs and bathrooms on beach but at an additional cost. Teenage guide with minimal knowledge of area and Sights. Rude manager, but very pleasant driver. Would recommend trying a different tour.

Many minuses, a couple of pluses. - Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience.
1. The tour didn't start until an hour and fifteen minutes after the supposed starting time. Nobody came to explain or apologize. When I asked (after 45 minutes' wait), I was told that they were "short-staffed". No apology or and ETA given.
2. The guide was uncommunicative - gave us very rough instructions and then rowed ahead without checking whether we were following or whether we were doing OK.
3. The guide told us "20 minutes' rowing". It was 40 minutes and quite rough. The water was choppy and we had to row very close to some snorkelers - didn't seem safe to us.
4. Once we reached the snorkeling site, the waves were quite strong so as I was trying to get off the kayak, the waves threw the kayak into me so I fell onto the pebble beach. The guide just watched - some people on the beach came to my help.
5. The guide handed us the goggles and snorkels - no flippers - and pointed us in the direction of a boat wreck. Then he lay down in his kayak and turned his phone on. He offered no assistance and he didn't take us out there himself.
6. The swim was not easy and once I reached the destination, the wreck was just a few pieces of the boat bottom. The sea was murky from the choppy waves, so there was not a lot to see. The swim back was even more difficult.
7. We told the guide we did not want to kayak back - we were exhausted - and he arranged, very quickly, for us to be picked up. Plus for that :)
8. When we got back, another member of staff listened very carefully to what we had to say, wrote everything down and promised to look into it. He apologized profusely and was very professional. Plus for that :)
What they need to do (and I hope they do as they seem to have some professional staff) is to warn people of the difficulty level, recommend wet shoes and flippers (or provide them) and, of course, make sure the guide is attentive and safety-minded. Also, in choppy seas, the tour should be cancelled and something else offered (or a refund) as the kayaking is difficult and there isn't much to see in the snorkeling part.

Avoid - Industrial rather than Caribbean paradise! Faeces on uninspiring beach & jellyfish. Awful experience.
