A new fun activity - This was really fun! Such a great idea for a self-guided tour on your schedule, your timetable and with your personal group. We went as a couple and really enjoyed it. We were looking to do some walking, and this certainly provided that as well. The purchase was easy; download the app, open the map and off you go!

Fun way to learn more about Colonial Williamsburg and the history of The College of William and Mary. - We thoroughly enjoyed the trivia walk. We especially enjoyed the trivia as we went through the campus of William and Mary. Walking through Colonial Williamsburg is always a special experience and fun being made aware of things that we had not learned before.

Tried something new this trip to Williamsburg and it was the best week. - The trivia was so much fun. My husband was not sure but it turned out to be fun. We loved looking for the answers. Going through the William and Mary college was a first for us. Thanks for so much fun. The Ghost tour at 10 P.M. was very good and the leader was excellent. The patriot tour today was also great. The guide, Sam I think was very knowledgeable.

Trivia walk in Williamsburg - This was a great experience to get out and see some different aspects of Williamsburg including the William and Mary campus, which had so much history that I had never seen even though I have been to Williamsburg many times. I did this with my teenage children and it was a great way to do something historical and as a family without doing formal talks or tours that they hate. They were committed to doing every single spot!

Fun Way to Tour Williamsburg - We had a great time enjoying Colonial Williamsburg and learning some history. We've loved exploring Williamsburg for years, but the trivia walk took us to places we hadn't seen or didn't know much about. It was so much fun, the app was easy to use, and we would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves Williamsburg or is visiting for the first time and wants to explore history.

Fun and Informative Williamsburg Walk - This trivia walk made for an informative and fun day about town. Having visited Williamsburg for decades, I was surprised at the many places I didn't know about that we discovered on this walk. The app itself was user friendly and easy to use. The trivia questions were great; they inspired thought but could be enjoyed by many different age groups and levels. We paired this with a picnic for a perfect day!

Colonial Williamsburg Trivia Walk - I only rated it 4 out of 5 as it is in the beta stage. We were asked to test the Colonial Williamsburg Trivia Walk on our phone and gratefully took the opportunity. Overall the history and trivia questions were well thought out and interesting. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes, as it is a serious walk. You load an app from a link on your phone, and a map with red numbered circles appears. We worked through the numbered spots from lowest to highest as suggested, and the walk wound up with half the questions/spots on the William and Mary campus, and the other half within Colonial Williamsburg. A question will appear on your phone when you reach a numbered area. We had to use the provided hints a few times but the answers are not necessarily simple. There are answers both to be typed in and multiple choice. Some questions involve finding information posted around the area, some deductions must be made, at least one question where you must ask a Williamsburg reenactor a question, and history to learn. We chose to stop for lunch midway as we finished the campus part, and it was a good place to rest in the commercial area between the two with good restaurants/bars. There were a few minor glitches and one typo, but much better than I had expected; the company said they would correct what we found. We enjoyed the experience, learned some new information, and look forward to taking other walks or tours that triviawalks.com creates.

Avoid This Tour - Not What You Think - THINK TWICE ABOUT GETTING THIS TOUR!!! We got this tour for a busy weekend in mid April. We had some tech difficulties getting it to start after pausing it after opening it to ensure it was working. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DON’T OPEN IT UNTIL YOU ARE WILLING TO GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH UNTIL COMPLETION. This was a disaster as a regular tour. We encountered tech difficulties and we really didn’t learn anything. However, it does have some benefits under different circumstances. I would recommend against this tour if it’s your first time to Colonial Williamsburg or if you have aspirations of learning something new. This tour does not offer that. However, if you’ve been to Colonial Williamsburg numerous times or you have young children (who are old enough to read) this tour is entertaining. We did this at night when the crowds were low and actually enjoyed going through Williamsburg after dark and reading all the clues to answer. You can accomplish this entire tour at night in Williamsburg and it is a great experience for families with young children to do a unique nighttime experience outside the typical ghost tours being offered.
