Williamsburg Slavery Tour - Lonnie was a great tour guide. He provided insightful information, and it was obvious he had done some research on the history of Williamsburg. The most interesting facts were around the early emancipators and the risks they took in freeing their slaves in early America.

Don’t miss a tour with Lonnie! - The slavery tour was very interesting. However, much of the slavery tour was covered in the Patriot’s tour. No need to do both. Either one. By itself is well worth the time and $$.

The Whole Story of Colonial Williamsburg - This walking tour is conducted by a well informed guide who was dedicated to tell the whole story about the enslavement of Africans and the practice that continue to this day. The pace allowed rest in the shade, water stops etc. Worth the price and the time .

"That the future may learn from the past" - a lesson from the practice of Slavery - Lonnie illuminated the history of slavery in the context of Williamsburg with deftness and sensitvity. Along with the Patriots tour, it provided a broader understanding of Colonial life and times.

Great experience - Very informative! Lonnie was very knowledgeable and engaging. I remember coming to Williamsburg as a child. Slavery wasn’t talked about back then. Lonnie filled in the gap!

Fantastic, insightful and informative - Lonnie was a well informed guide. He provided insight into the cultural and moral aspects of the period much more than could be inferred from just observing the architecture of the era.

We didn't do the tour - I cannot rate this tour. When we went to the address where our GPS led us to there was no address. We didn't know where to go from that point. Suggestion: Please put signs out to let tourists know where to meet and park. Thank u. We did reschedule.
