Our tour guide, Gauge,... - Our tour guide, Gauge, was awesome! It was a great experience! I think people coming on the tour should set their expectations, as there isn't much of a cave and the emerald green is only visible in the sunlight. The tour should provide times when the sunlight is shining in the cave.

Kayaking - Melissa was so interactive and spunky! We loved her as our tour guide, would 10/10 recommend her! She involved everyone equally and included everyone in conversation. She was also very informative about the location when it came to wildlife, plants and other fun facts! Snacks and water were provided.

Great kayak trip for families - We got detailed information prior to our trip and was able to request tandem kayaks and life vest for our 12 year old. Links to waivers were easily done. Gage was an excellent guide. We had a great time on the river. There was a medical emergency that delayed us a bit but we had some extra time at the end. There is a small hike at halfway point to look at some local flora and to get a good view at a historical site. The last mile was for Emerald Cave. We were in the early group so the view was not a brilliant due to timing of the sun but still very enjoyable. My kids had a water gun fight on the river on the way back.

Great day trip from Vegas - Fun day trip from Vegas. Easy paddle with a stop midway for a short hike and snack break. The "Emerald Cave" at the turnaround point was an okay stop but getting there at the magic hour when the sun lights up the cave is hit and miss dependent on matching up the time of day and time of year. There's typically a wait to get in as all the tour groups use this as the turnaround point. There are great little coves on the way up and back for pictures that are just as scenic. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. I'd hate to do this in midsummer but you can always bail out into the river to cool off. Great way to spend some time away from the slots!
