A perfect day. - I arrived at the pickup point 20 mins early, Zander our driver and guide was there already. He was very friendly. We headed off towards the national park once everybody was seated in the mini bus. The national park had spotless toilets, a gift shop selling snacks, camping gear, souvenirs etc. We had a quick demo and launched off in our Kayaks. The weather was beautiful. I didn't put on any sun cream and was slightly wind burnt but that was my Irish skin. Zander had plenty of local knowledge about the terrain, rock formation, vegetation, local wild life etc. He struck the perfect balance of imparting enough info without being over talkative. I was pleasantly surprised by the tranquility on the lake, it's clarity was breathtaking. We saw a blue crane, a turkey vulture and a few members of the group saw an eagle souring in circles over head. All in all we kayaked 4 miles. We stooped for snacks at a little beach and did a short hike for panoramic views. It was a great day, lasting 6 hours in total so ideal for those still wanting to enjoy the Vegas nightlife later on.

Don't miss this - Fantastic experience. As a new to kayaking person (over 40) I was hesitant, no issues! Kayaks have a storage trunk that thought isnt waterproof my camelback stayed dry. Justin explained the mechanics and off we went. 2.5 hours was plenty for this newbie with a short walk and snack 2/3 the way through. Wear shoes that can get wet or plan to be barefoot in the kayak, I had sneakers so put my shoes on when we got out to wall and snack then off to hop back in. Would definitely recommend my daughter is ready to come back for a longer guided tour! Go earlier in the day to avoid larger numbers of people, also Sunday and Monday have less lake activity (go then). Thanks Justin!

Great 1st time kayak experience - So much fun! Despite the cold and windy weather the trip was amazing. Our guide Jonny was fun and friendly. On the way back to the start/end point we all had to kayak against 15-20 mph wind gusts. My daughter was too cold to help me and I couldn’t fight the wind all by myself for both of us, so Jonny came to our rescue and got us back safely. The only thing I would have done differently is double check the weather!, and pack a change of clothes(as someone who has never kayaked before I kept splashing myself with the cold water from the Colorado River, so I got pretty soaked).

Must See! - I’ve done a lot of excursions in Vegas and this has by far been my favorite. Everything is organized from pick-up to drop-off. If you can, aim to get Juston as your tour guide. He has a great attitude and will make you feel comfortable regardless of your skill level. The emerald caves are breathtaking and a hidden gem. If you have the time, do it!

Beautiful canyon - This trip requires that you have some upper body strength. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great views of waterfowl, beautiful canyon, beautiful water.

Daytripp’n - Loved this!! Full service kayaking in its finest. Your guide picks you up and does all the driving, drops you off... BONUS!! Our guide, Jonny was very knowledgeable about the area and kayaking, he was very personable; easily related to each guest. Not to mention had us laughing the entire time. This excursion isn't a strenuous venture. But note; water shoes are a must have. There is no bathroom whilst on the water. You will get wet, not soaked but water from paddling. Sunscreen is your friend. I forgot my hat and would have been more comfortable with it. We paddled at our own pace and took in the scenery. Wow!, it was breathtaking. We did not get the pleasure of seeing any wildlife but the clear skies and sunshine more than made up for it.

An Easy Fun Outing from Vegas - We went here in a couples trip to last Vegas in October 2024. We added the shuttle from Las Vegas. It’s about an hour to the national park where you will embark on your tour. Easy ride in an air conditioned van. Hotel pick up was at Mandalay Bay. Where water shoes. Bring a small backpack you are comfortable worn wearing or can be stored in the kayak storage hold. Hat, sunscreen and sun glasses are a must! We both got the two person coupled kayak I would definitely take this tour again but would do the individual for more agility to where I want to go and for maneuvering into the cave. This is slow and leisurely, but it is several hours in the river. The scenery is beautiful!! Tour guide was fantastic. There are bathrooms and a small store at the park as well. Great tour, would do it again!
