Highlights

Downtown Wilmington - We will be riding through a portion of downtown Wilmington. This is where the bike tour will begin.
River to the Sea Bikeway - We ride on the famous River to Sea Bikeway. This route is an 11-mile on and off-road bicycle route that follows the Historic Beach Car Line, which in the past carried vacationers from historic downtown Wilmington to Wrightsville Beach by trolley.
Blockade Runner Beach Resort - The arrival point near Wrightsville Beach will be the gorgeous Blockade Runner Beach Resort. Those who dine will have access to some of the resort’s lush accommodations and world-class amenities, such as their Lawn & Garden areas (with beach chairs, loungers, and more) and direct access to the beach from the property. Riders can also choose to enjoy activity rentals, such as kayak, surfboard, and stand-up paddle board rentals (for an additional cost).
Wrightsville Beach - Riders who want to spend some time on the beach can access through Blockade Runner Beach Resort.

See much of Wilmington and get to the beach with EASE on this tour. The route begins from downtown Wilmington. We ride on the famous River to Sea Bikeway. This route is an 15-mile on and off-road bicycle route that follows the Historic Beach Car Line. This trail is incredible. Very smooth with lots of sights to see, bridges to cross, and more.

The arrival point near Wrightsville Beach will be the gorgeous Blockade Runner Beach Resort. Those who dine will have access to some of the resort’s lush accommodations and world-class amenities and direct access to the beach from the property.

The tour consists of:
Up to 2.5 hours to relax at the resort or on the beach

We recommend bringing a book bag to carry all of your personal items, such as sunscreen, beach towels, bathing suits, sunglasses, and anything else that you may need for the beach. We recommend packing essentials only.

All tour attendees must arrive 20 minutes prior to start time.

Not recommended for travelers with a low level of physical fitness.
Not recommended for travelers who have not ridden a bicycle within the last seven years. We cannot give refunds for riders who arrive and cannot ride their e-bike.
Not recommended for travelers under 4’6” tall.
Due to the high performance of our e-bikes, we have a weight limits for each. Maximum weight for the larger e-bikes is 260 lbs. and maximum weight for the smaller e-bikes ranges between 220 lbs. and 240 lbs.

Great way to spend the day! - We had a wonderful and adventurous day with our guides Ray and Beth! Great way to see the town and beach area and a delicious lunch at a local hotel. Many laughs, a highlight of the trip and a day we will talk about for years to come!

Beach and e-bike :-) - Awesome e-bike tour!! It’s great because it combines the beach and e-bikes, which I hadn’t ridden before! You get to see so much more by riding through some beautiful neighborhoods, UNCW and trails. I have a new appreciation for bike lanes! Thanks to Beth for the texts, Raz for your patience and taking a chance on me, as well as Phil and Mandi for making trip possible by signing up!

Awesome well guided e-bike tour and beach experience - We planned a last-minute day trip to Wilmington North Carolina and wanted to make the most of our limited time there. We chose the 5-Hour River to Sea E-Bike Day Tour Adventure for two main reasons. First, we wanted to visit the beach for a few hours and second, we have never ridden e-bikes, and thought this would be a great way to experience doing so with a guide. We had an outstanding day on both aspects. Our guide, Raz, did an outstanding job going over the details of our bike and although we are experienced in riding regular bicycles, he did not take this for granted and conducted the tour to ensure that we were comfortable with the e-bikes and riding the trail. Our safety was his main concern, which we greatly appreciated. Once we arrived at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort, we had access to its many amenities including a restroom, refreshments, food and direct access to the beach. On the beach there were chairs and sun umbrellas available for rent and the fellow sun bathers were very friendly. The overall experience was awesome and we would definitely recommend you check it out! We look forward to using this company on our next visit to Wilmington!

Great way to get to the beach - Great scenic tour in Wilmington. I did not really know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised that the route there went by so quickly. The route was very bike friendly and went through so much of Wilmington. We saw a lot of nature, small lakes, the university, parts of the city, and of course, the beach. Most of the route was shaded and they provided us with refreshments. When we reached the beach, we were able to go off on our own and enjoy a few hours however we wanted. They provided us with towels for the beach. Overall, a great way to see Wilmington and make it to the beach without paying the astronomical parking fees. The tour guide, Raz, was awesome and super accommodating. I will definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area this summer.

Fabulous Beach Bum Trip - Highly Recommended! - If you are in the Wilmington area this trip is a must! Raz and Beth are amazing guides and just all around great people! This e bike trip offers a picturesque ride from the downtown area through beautiful bike trails, past UNC, midtown, through the quaint beach town to the gorgeous waters of Wrightsville Beach. We stopped at a fun little beach shop. Then, we spent a few hours on the Wrightsville beachfront grounds of a local hotel. Raz and Beth made the ride to and from a lot of fun. When we arrived at the beach, we had time on our own to explore the beach and use the facilities, which offers a pool, hot tub, and a great restaurant for lunch. There is the option to rent beach chairs, but we brought our own towels to sit on the beach. Raz and Beth definitely made us feel comfortable from start to finish. We will most certainly do this trip again when back in the Wilmington area. We loved the fact we got to avoid sitting in the car traffic to and from the beach. Bring a backpack with water, sunscreen, and towels. This is a super fun experience!
