Two centuries of architectural styles brought to life - Amanda Leese is a long-time Wilmington NC resident with a history degree from the university there. Her tour emphasizes the different architectural styles of downtown buildings (primarily residences), placed in the context of the city's history. We found her commentary, delivered in locations of low background noise, interesting and informative.

Very knowledgeable guide - Amanda was smart, fun, and laid out the history of Wilmington as we walked. She covered the good, bad and ugly history of this evolving city. It was an hour and half well spent and definitely worth the price. Thanks Amanda!

Enjoyable, educational ... time well spent! - This was a very worthwhile overview of relevant Wilmington history, both architecturally and as part of US history. Amanda is a history major, clearly educated and experienced in telling a story she cares about because of her personal connection to the community. A short distance, an easy walk but a lot of great information delivered in a relaxed, confident style. Both of us were really glad we chose this tour.

Informative historical and architecture tour - We had a short stay in Wilmington and enjoyed this tour. It wasn’t too long or too short. We liked the mix of history, architecture and cultural information. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I wish we would have walked more of the historical district rather than just two blocks but a highly recommended tour to learn about Wilmington.
