Great informative tour - We saw all the major landmarks and learnt about the history of Namibia. The drive thru the settlements and the commentary was very interesting. Tasting local food was a treat. Thanks Shaka.🙂

An entertaining city tour - We have been on tour as a family with Shaka. It was very entertaining, interesting explanations from Shaka and our questions were answered at any time. A special highlight was the market visit in Katutura with local snack. We had a lot of fun

Must do Namibian experience. - What a great experience getting into the townships and understanding the breadth of how everyday Namibians live. We had lots of interesting discussions about a range of topics and got to taste the incredibly delicious , fresh bbq meat and handmade salsa at the markets , met some lovely people and visited the contrasting lakeside setting of the women’s cooperative . We only wish the tour could have lasted all day. Highly recommended.

Windhoek: more than Tintenpalast and Christchurch - Interesting insight into the non- touristic part of Windhoek. Driving in the old VW-Bus was fun - very friendly and well informed guide.

An authentic taste of Namibia - The Nam Flava tour is a great way to quickly get a taste of how Namibia ticks. Our guide Shakka was super friendly, highly informative, very professional and a good driver (the old VW bus is great!). The kids loved it – especially visiting the township markets of Katutura. It helped us to understand the people and history of Namibia more than any travel guidebook ever could.

Don’t Miss This Tour - I travelled to many places during the past 35 years. This tour is an awesome experience! You visit places you would never see in Windhoek like the shantytowns where the less fortunate Namibians live ( you see this area from the VW van, so it’s safe), you go to a back in the day local market where you eat delicious bittong beef ( it’s definitely safe to eat ), you go to a woman’s embroidery business and see exceptional craftsmanship, and of course , visit the Independence Museum, and the awesome craft market. Our guide Simon was excellent He was able to provide very concise yet comprehensive summaries of key historic and political events in an engaging manner. He also is a great guy with a good sense of humor. Don’t miss this tour!!!

Great tour to learn - The best of the tour was Shaka! He is a fantastic professional, very savvy, engaged and passionate about his job. We were lucky to have him as a guide for this experience. My recommendation for Chameleons would be to: - Change the name of the tour, as it is misleading. We were mainly interested in doing the township only, as the city center is easy to walk around. Then we realized the Namflava has the same length and circuit as the other city and township tour that is cheaper. - The van is cool, but not the most convenient vehicle. - Spend more time in the food market or other area in which a bit of walking can be done to a bar or fruit stand for more interactions and support to the local township economy. It is a good tour, and what made it so great it was mainly to have Shaka as a tour guide.

Shaka is great! - Our guide was Shaka, a young guide with full of energy and enthusiasm. He showed us his township and took us to the local market to have Kapana for lunch which was absolutely delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed Shaka's company and he will ensure you have a great time! My recommendation is to book these half-day trips a few days in advance. One downside is that while we expected only be shown the township, there was a small component of the tour that was for the City of Windhoek too which was unexpected. It seems the programme may afterall be similar to a different half-day tour that includes both City and Township. Be sure to clarify the itinerary.
