Good choice! - The tour was great, bus had on time and Farhat (guide) and Oliver (driver) were so nice and helpful to me as I had a wheelchair. There is no wheelchair lift but they can store it in the luggage compartment. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Stonehenge and Windsor Castle are pretty accessible. There is a lot of walking and some stairs so if that is a problem definitely bring your wheelchair. The staff at Windsor are very good and will help you get to elevators/lifts that are hidden. I’m glad I chose this tour.

Hungry and Hurried but Enjoyable - The positives-getting to see two major sites in one day-both of which are incredibly impressive and well worth the entire day trip! This was the “extended” day trip which was supposed to start in Windsor with a tour around the castle and St. George’s Chapel and then leave time for lunch in the quaint town of Windsor. The guide mentioned that because of the crowds, we would be leaving early (our tour was set to depart at 8am but we left as soon as everyone had arrived at 7:45am.) We arrived at Stonehenge and got a rushed and brief talk from our guide about the site. She then left the group and we were to go see and explore on our own. We spent a lot of money on the tour and I really thought we were going to have a guided experience. The other tour guides from other companies stayed with their groups. It was FREEZING but sunny so we spent time looking at the stones and then came back to the cafe and museum. If I had known we were trading extra time at the crummy cafe at Stonehenge vs having time for a pub in Windsor I would have spoken up about preferring my the latter. Food and drinks aren’t allowed on the bus-we brought tea and pastries with us in the morning and were asked to toss them before boarding :/. Too bad nothing was said about this on the online information. The guide advised us not to eat at the cafe but I’m glad we did bc it was the only time we had for food all day. Then it was all rush rush to Windsor. We got there and again were abandoned by our guide after a brief talk about a few of the different buildings and a list of things to look for inside. We weren’t given a headset or told where to get one although once inside we saw that loads of people had them. We wandered around aimlessly looking at paintings of which we had no idea what or who they were but knew they were of significance. Several of the things the guide told us to look for inside were not there. She also did not mention which que to stand in (either Victoria’s doll house or the staterooms) so we stood in line for 40 minutes for the doll house only to realize that we could have walked straight into the staterooms and skipped the doll house que bc you can see the doll house at the end of the staterooms tour without waiting in line. We barely had time to see the chapel and staterooms on the extended tour and had about 15 minutes to spare at the end of the whole thing so we didn’t get to enjoy the town AT ALL or have time for the pub which the guide highly recommended…which was a huge disappointment. I don’t know how anyone could possibly see what we saw today without being on the extended tour. We spent $633 for the two tours and were rushed through like cattle, not given the details about head sets, or nearly enough time at the castle and town of Windsor. The guide was mostly very nice and we appreciated being driven but being rushed about from 7:45 am-6pm without a meal break and not being allowed to eat on the bus was frustrating and something I think we should have been prepared for. We are also getting a little weary of being insulted for being Americans as well-esp by the tour guides. It’s rude to take our money and then tell us how bad we and our country sucks. We have our opinions as well but are polite enough not to share them because we respect that there’s more than one good way to do things. All in all the tour was worth it but be prepared to rush, figure out where to get head sets and eat when you get off of the bus-people with children might need to know this.

Tour is too short - I wanted to see the Windsor Castle, but the allowed time for it was not nearly enough for a good tour. The bus had a bathroom, but we weren’t supposed to use it because it was broken. We were also told not to eat or drink anything on the bus, even though other passengers ignored this and ate the whole way back.
