Interesting window onto Australian dinosaurs, great scenery. - Bec is a really good guide. I thoroughly enjoyed her running commentary over the few days I travelled with her (1/2 day to AAOD and 3/4 day to Dinosaur Stampede). She’s extremely knowledgeable about the area, the geology, the wildlife, the palaeontology. She worked at the AAOD for many years before tour guiding for Red Dirt Tours. Her heart is absolutely in this area.

Dinosaur Footprints! - This tour was great, Bec was an excellent guide, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the area, totally happy to stop along to way to check out it the local wildlife, sometimes backtracking to get a good view The bus is a big modern and comfortable 4x4 bus, carefully driven across the rugged terrain to a very modern facility housing the world’s only dinosaur stampede. Jon, our guide while at the display, is very passionate about what the does and loves to share his knowledge on to topic before showing you the main event, over 3k dinosaur footprints which really makes you think and visualise the time these ancient beings were around 10/10 great tour, would recommend

Stampede and native fauna - The tour guides, Ange and Bec were knowledgeable and friendly. They drove very carefully and happy to turn around for any fauna sightings on the way which were numerous as they were able to pick up fauna that I would have missed. They discussed the flora and fauna on the way and so the long trip was interesting. At the Stampede we had lunch which was enjoyable. I could not have asked for more from the tour. I can thoroughly recommend it.

A unique experience - Lark Quarry is the only place in the world with a stampede of dinosaur footprints. It is 110km from Winton so some of the day is spent getting there and back. Our guide Bec gave us plenty of information along the way about the geology, flora, and fauna of the region, and was willing to stop a few times to see wildlife.

Exceptional guide - We spent 2 days exploring the Winton area with Bec of Red Dirt Tours. The customised tours for the 8 of us allowed us to see as much as possible over the 2 days. The extremely knowledgeable Bec informed and entertained us with her lovely personality and incredible broad knowledge of Winton, dinosaurs, farming, botany, geology, entomology etc etc. there is nothing this girl doesn’t know! Red dirt provided a very healthy fresh lunch, drinks and morning and afternoon teas. We could have stayed longer in Winton as there is so much to see and we could have listened and learnt from Bec forever. Thanks for an amazing 2 days.

Dinosaur Stampede - What an experience! Bec our amazing guide picked us up from the camp ground with a big smile on her face and was so passionate about what she does. We went out to the dinosaur stampede which is a long drive however Bec was so knowledgeable about the local area, she made the trip amazing, spotting lots of local wildlife also! Really tasty morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea! We took our 4 kids aged between 9 and 11 and they had a great time!! Thank you so much! Highly recommended 👌🏻

Who knew this would be so amazing - I will start off with a thankyou - Luke our amazing Tour guide was amazing. He had what I call the perfect mix of Patience, engagement and a peaceful demeanour all the while being extremely knowledgeable about the region and it's history. We had a small group of 5 on our tour and we all felt like it was a highlight of each of our trips so far. Luke welcomes questions and answers them completely where he is able. The tour itself was fascinating. so much to learn about our amazing Country and it's Stories. The Dinosaur Stampede was a big surprise for me and I felt this was a great way to cap the tour along with the amazing scenery and stop points along the way. Be prepared for a big day. and let the Country speak to you through your Tour guide and the stories whilst you travel the many miles of red dirt and scenery. Even got the chance to fossick (and find) a few bits of Opal at the Fossicking stop. Good food provided and plenty of refreshment when needed. Again Thanks to Luke and Red dirt - Well worth the investment. Paul and Ruth.

Lark Quarry Dinosaur Stampede - This was an excellent tour and enhanced by the enthusiasm & knowledge of our tour guide Bec. She pointed out plants & animals and the geographic features and we had access to views not available to independent drivers. The tour of Dinosaur Stampede building at Lark Quarry was also excellent. A delicious lunch & morning & afternoon tea was included.
