Feeling thirsty? A curated local beverage flight (mead, craft beer, wine) designed to pair with the tasting menu is available for purchase on-site for guests ages 21+.

  • Blueberry rhubarb crostini - Locally-made baguette round topped with smoked ricotta (Crooked Face Creamery) and blueberry rhubarb jam (Worcester’s Wild Blueberries)
  • Maple-glazed nuts - Housemade spiced nuts glazed with maple syrup (Hilltop Boilers)
  • Bean hole beans - Traditional Maine “bean hole” style beans, housemade with heritage beans (Green Thumb Farms) and local bacon (Maine Family Farms)
  • Artisanal Cheese - Daily selection of Maine-made artisanal cheese, served with Maine Crisp crackers
  • Maine Marbles - Tiny Maine potatoes (Community Farms) cooked salt potato-style and finished on the griddle with plenty of Maine butter (Kate’s Butter).
  • Fermented Seaweed Salad - Locally farmed and harvested Maine seaweed, fermented into a delicious sauerkraut-esque salad

Blueberries, seaweed, potatoes, craft beer and so much more! Take your tastebuds on a trip around the state and explore the ingredients and flavors that make Maine so special. Participants will be introduced to some of Maine’s most iconic food and drink industries and hear the stories of local farmers, fishermen and other producers - while sampling delicious products that represent them!

This guided, 30-minute experience is a fantastic introduction to Maine’s food and beverage landscape, history and culture. We recommend scheduling this class at the beginning of your time in Maine so you can take advantage of all you’ve learned during the rest of your trip. Stick around afterwards for personalized recommendations from your MTC host about wineries, breweries, markets, farms and other agritourism experiences to seek out while in Maine - customized to your interests and the regions you plan to visit while in Maine.

Heading north on Route 1, turn left onto Old Bath Rd at the Maine Tasting Center sign. The entrance to our parking lot will be immediately on your right after the turn. Park in our lot and head to the Tasting Room building. When you arrive, please check in with the staff at the bar.

Don’t Miss - What an experience! Sarah was knowledgeable and enthusiastic—a great combination! The tastings were wonderful and descriptions were thorough. The building is beautifully done and everything was first rate. Don’t miss this!
