Bushman paintings and large rocks at the peak - We had a great day trip to Spitzkoppe over Henties Bay me Gerald. The rock formations and the view over the green, blooming expanse was impressive. We had two American rock experts on board, a great companion. The Bushman paintings are definitely worth seeing. We can highly recommend this day tour.

Two of the best tours I've been on in years of travel! - We went on two brilliant tours. The first to Spitzkoppe with Winton was just incredible. The views were stunning, and Winton's friendly and informative guiding made you appreciate the landscape all the more. Could have happily stayed all day. A special thank you again to Winton for your care after my clumsiness, haha. Our second tour was with Dennis, who took us on an exhilarating ride to Sandwich Harbour. It was a wild ride but made extremely fun due to complete trust in Dennis's experience and superb driving skills. And so so worth it. Lunch on both days was excellent and far beyond a normal packed lunch. Can't recommend either of these tours enough, frankly, some of the best I've experienced in many years of travel. Thank you !!

Awe-inspiring breathtaking - We were left in awe at the beauty of Namib Desert during this tour. The ever changing terrain from Henties Bay, to Spitzkoppe, to the Moonlandscape, as pointed out by our guide Japie. It was breathtaking to hear the Khoisan language at the Small Bushman Paradise. My father also enjoyed playing the ting-ting rocks. Truly a marvelous day.

A trip in the life time - Well worth the money had an amazing tour guide who took us not only to what others saw but also where he had been before. A full on day well worth it. A lovely lunch and drinks through out the day. A 5 star rating

Amazing tour, amazing guide - We did the Spitzkoppe tour with desert dunes & dust tours and it was an amazing experience!!! Victor is an amazing guide, really knowledgeable and our trip was great thanks to him!! He really knows how to read the will of his clients And he did more than the extra mile to make us happy! Spitzkoppe isteslf is a jewel, I didn’t know if it would worth the shot, I have to say the overall experience was one of the highlights of our total trip in Namibia!! Thank you desert dunes & dust tours, thank you Victor, if we come back into your amazing country, we will definitely organise tour with you again!!

Spitzkoppe Full Day Tour - I had an amazing tour of Spitzkoppe. Along the way, we stopped at the Zeila Shipwreck and the Cape Cross Seal Colony. My guide was very welcoming and friendly and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with my experience. I would recommend Desert, Dunes & Dust for any adventure tours from Swakopmund.

Not as described - do not book - First off let me say that this is no way a criticism of our guide/driver whose name we can't remember. I think it began with an H. There was only two of us on the trip. This tour was not as described. We could have booked a cheaper tour but picked this one as it included Skeleton Coast and Cape Cross as well as Spitzkoppe. Unfortunately, we got to see neither Skeleton Coast or Cape Cross. We mentioned this and we were told by the driver guide that they don't offer it any longer due to the distances involved from Swapkomond. Frustratingly, this was the tour we booked and it was never communicated to us in advance. I wonder if they took our money and amended the trip just to avoid a longer and more expensive trip (fuel, time plus entrance and permits) and then just decided not to take us but didn't tell us otherwise we would have cancelled. Instead, after a very short trip in Spitzkoppe (less than two hours, one hour of which was for lunch) we went to the Moon landscape and a brief stop in the area of Goanikontes. Frustratingly, we had already see the moon landscape 2 days prior and had no interest in seeing it again. The trip around this area and moon landscape made up the majority of the day (more than Spitzkoppe) and in essence is not what we paid to see as we had already done it. This is not the fault of the guide/driver but rather the company. What is upsetting is due to our time constraints we couldn't visit Skeleton Coast or Cape Cross on another day as we left early the next day so we missed this completely. Visiting Namibia again is unlikely for us from the UK so therefore the company are responsible for us missing something we really wanted to see. Whilst they may think we saw seals on the previous day (we did a tour the day before to Sandwich Harbour with the same company - review to follow), it is not for the company to decide to amend a trip we have booked and not tell us. The decision not to visit wasn't for safety but due to the distance (and likely cost) involved. If they don't offer the trip they shouldn't offer it or should tell us and give us the option to cancel as all our tickets and itinerary say Skeleton Coast and Cape Cross. We did not receive the advertised tour infact it did not include key parts of the trip and we have no option to go. If we had wanted the trip we received we would have booked it elsewhere for a much cheaper cost. Also AC is a necessity when visiting this area as its very, very hot. It did not work. This is the second trip we did with this company that did not have working AC in the vehicle. This means your only cool air is from opening the windows in a sandy and dusty environment. This is not ideal and makes for a very uncomfortable day.
