Great fishing experience for the whole family - We happened to drive past Hook a Barra yesterday and thought let’s give it a go. We were not disappointed. What awesome time we had. We all hooked and landed some great fish. The team there were great with the kids and were great to talk to. Definitely recommend to all in the area for a great time and the chance to land some great Barra.

Brilliant Day out! - Such an amazing day! Kids had a blast and so did Hubs! Staff were delightful and super helpful! The food was delicious. The tasting plate is a must try and the fish and chips were the best we’ve had! Pop it on your list if you are in the area!

Barra Blast - I have always wanted to catch a Barra so whilst in FNQ we visited the Hook a Barra farm just out of Mossman. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They supplied the gear and within minutes I had a hook up. It was so exciting. Barra are known for their fighting spirit and this was no disappointment. A couple of minutes later I had caught my first whopper. Farmer Mark gave me a couple of handy hints and before I knew it, another one was on the hook. Thank you Mark. Great experience.

A great place to visit - Our family loved it! We booked the Saltwater Farm Tour which included lunch & fishing. Food was delicious and freshly prepared. Kids had the best time catching fish! So much that we came back a second time to get in more fishing. Big thank you to Bailey for helping out our youngest who caught a whopper! It was the highlight of his holiday Bailey! A great place to visit.

Cape Crew 2024 visit The Barra Farm - Despite a drizzly day, our visit was enjoyable and educational. 3 of our group caught a Barra or two each. A couple of the fish caught were quite large.

Great fun and EZ barra fishing experience - Staff were great and friendly. Did a lot of casting and not so much catching but as they said they dont train the fish so catching is never guaranteed, but I hooked 3 and landed 1 decent 50cm fish. My wife hooked a couple but landed  a 98cm fish. Bought some frozen fillets to cook up that night and they were spectacular!!

Great but overpriced - A great activity for the kids. We had lunch there which was really good. Downside is I thought it was very expensive for an hours worth of fishing.
