Post-war, it transformed into a renowned tourist attraction. Over the years, it has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times due to conflicts and fires. The tower’s design combines a square and an octagon, symbolizing “all directions.” It is one of the “Three Great Pavilions in the South of the Yangtze River” in China, alongside Yueyang Tower in Hunan and Prince Teng Pavilion in Jiangxi. Many poets from various dynasties have visited, leaving behind numerous famous poems, making it a cultural landmark. Today, it is a national 5A tourist attraction, showcasing the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge - The Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is a significant bridge in China, located in Wuhan, a city divided by the Yangtze River. Before its construction, transportation across the river relied mainly on ferries, which were inconvenient and time-consuming. This double-deck road-railway bridge features an upper deck for vehicles, allowing smooth passage for cars and buses, and a lower deck for railway transport. The bridge’s piers are robustly built to endure the river’s strong currents and heavy traffic loads. As the first bridge over the Yangtze River in China post-1949, it significantly boosted economic development and transportation in central China. It has become an iconic symbol of Wuhan and a popular landmark for tourists to visit and photograph.

Qingchuan Cabinet - Located in Hanyang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, Qingchuan Cabinet is a renowned scenic spot with a rich history and cultural significance. Initially built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty by Fan Zhizhen, the magistrate of Hanyang, it has undergone several renovations and reconstructions due to wars and fires. The Cabinet is divided into two floors, with a main body of reinforced concrete mimicking a wooden structure, standing 17.5 meters high. Its name is derived from the poem “晴川历历汉阳树,芳草萋萋鹦鹉洲” (Clear River with distinct trees on Hanyang shore, fragrant grass lushly growing on Parrot Islet) by Cui Hao of the Tang Dynasty. Many historical literati have visited, leaving numerous poems and articles. Situated on the east foot of Guishan Mountain on the north bank of the Yangtze River, it faces the Yellow Crane Tower across the river.

East Lake in Wuhan - East Lake, located in the eastern part of Wuhan, Hubei, is a prominent scenic spot known for its natural beauty and vast area. As the largest city lake in China, it spans approximately 33 square kilometers, surpassing many other famous urban lakes. The lake is surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests, rich in biodiversity. It features a wide variety of plants, including numerous tree species like willows lining the lakeshore. Chu River Han Street - Chu River Han Street in Wuhan is situated in the city’s core, within the Wuhan Central Cultural District. It is built along the south bank of the Chu River, which traverses the east and west of the Wuhan Central Cultural Area, connecting East Lake and Shahu Lake. The street stretches 1,500 meters with a total area of 210,000 square meters. Its architecture primarily reflects the Republic of China style, with modern and European influences interspersed. Several notable attractions are nearby, including a unique film culture indoor theme park in the west area, the Wanda Cineplex, one of China’s largest and most advanced, in the center, and the Han Show Theatre, designed by Mark Fisher, resembling a beautiful red lantern, in the east region.

Hubu Alley - Hubu Alley is a famous historical and cultural street in Wuhan, dating back to the early Ming Dynasty. It derives its name from its proximity to the Hubei Yamen. The architecture here preserves many styles from the Ming and Qing dynasties, making it one of Wuhan’s best-preserved old blocks and a local cultural heritage site. Known for its rich cultural atmosphere, the residents, mostly local Wuhan people, maintain traditional lifestyles and cultural traditions. The alley features many retail stores with local characteristics, such as pastry and noodle shops, showcasing Wuhan citizens’ unique style. Hubu Alley is celebrated as the “First Alley of Wuhan Snacks,” offering a wide array of delicious local snacks, including the famous Hot and Dry Noodles, Salty Doughnuts, Steamed Dumplings, and Soup Buns, which are not only a treat for the taste buds but also a reflection of the local food culture.

Hubei Provincial Museum - Established in 1953, the Hubei Provincial Museum is one of the country’s eight museums supported by the national government and the only comprehensive provincial museum in Hubei. Located in the Wuchang district of Wuhan, near the west shore of East Lake, the museum is set in a lush garden environment with shaded trees. Its building design is inspired by traditional Chu culture’s architectural style, featuring high platforms, wide and multi-layered eaves, a large sloped roof, and three buildings, reflecting the overall layout of Chu axial symmetry of a temple. The museum houses an extensive collection of over 200,000 cultural relics, including ancient jade, bronze vessels, musical instruments, ceramics, and numerous artifacts from the tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng and the tombs at Baoshan.
