Highlights
  • The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - Three pits have been excavated and can be visited.
The largest pit, Pit 1, is believed to contain 6,000 warriors (only 2,000 are on display) and horses. They are all life-sized, facing east, and are lined up in battle formation. What is particularly striking is the fact that no two of them are alike.

Pit 2, which is smaller than Pit 1, contains around 1,300 warriors and horses, and it is still being excavated. It is worth mentioning that the figurines of general, the soldier on the horse, and the kneeling soldier were the first to be discovered in this pit.
The smallest pit, Pit 3, contains 72 warriors and horses, and is believed to be the army headquarters due to the number of high-ranking officers unearthed there.
The Bronze Chariot Pit exhibits two painted bronze chariots in a large scale in a small museum to the right of the main entrance. The bronze chariots are the earliest, largest, and best-preserved bronze artifacts in the world, crowned as \

Amazing tour experience with Elena - At first, I wasn't sure which tour company to go with, and I ran across Elena's tour packages Tripadvisor and decided to give it a go. The tour was amazing, she was very enthusiastic and knowledgable about the history of China and Terracotta warriors. We spent about a couple hours at the museum and then were headed to a local Muslim restaurant where Elena helped order 2 great dishes for me. She made sure I had a great time throughout the tour. I'll surely come back with my family and take Elena's tour again. 5/5 rating for me!

Highly recommended! Thank you Lilly! - The tour was absolutely perfect. The Teracotta army blew my mind and I’m so glad that I booked a guided tour and so glad that Lilly was the guide. Lilly was so patient, helpful, informative, and so nice as well. I can’t speak highly enough of Lilly- she really made my day. The tour was perfect. The mix of Teracotta Warriors, Muslim Street and cycling the city wall was just perfect. So glad that I did the tour and so glad Lilly was the guide. Thank you both to the company and to Lilly

Simply Amazing, 10 Stars if I could - My visit was during the National Holiday, So I expected large crowds. I underestimated the crowds. Elina and the driver were great, Because of the traffic we got a late start, however it didn't defer from the day. This is truly the 8th wonder of the world. Elina had tons of information and explanations. I highly recommend Trippest Mini Group tours. the best tour group I have used in the past 30 years... The Warriors was top notch but so was the lunch following, great family style to try a couple of dishes. I will use Trippest again. Thanks for a wonderful day. Bruce

Amazing - I did this small group tour as I was traveling alone in China. There was 4 of us and our guide, Rosa. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself was very good. It was nice to be in a small group so it was easy to move about without waiting on people and we had many opportunities to ask her questions or slow down if we wanted to. The terra-cotta were amazing! The tour included lunch at a traditional Chinese restaurant and it was fantastic. I would do this again.

Perfect way to experience & learn about Xi’an - We had a small group tour (5 of us) using a comfortable van that picked us up at our hotels. Our guide, Richard, was great - enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Took us to the best locations for viewing and photos. All three sites for the terracotta warriors are fascinating. We had plenty of time to wander. Lunched at a beautiful resort restaurant. We also toured the ancient city wall (highly recommend biking the perimeter!). The other guests left early so Richard gave me a private tour of Muslim Street and gave excellent advice for souvenirs and tasty treats. Highly recommend this tour and Richard in particular!
