Terracota Warriors with tour guide - The army of terracotta warriors, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the main tourist attractions in China. This is a must-see place in China and my experience was richful, amazing and unforgettable just because of tour guide Mr. Henry. He not only made the difference in the museum’s visit contributing with his knowledge and explanations but also helped me with best options for local food and booking tickets for “Song of Everlasting Sorrow” show. Another must-see event on Xi’an.

Needed more time but overall good - We enjoyed the visit, we decided to go by ourselves and at some point we ran out of time, It would have been good to have more time but that was on our side, they offer 3 hours, ideal would be 5 so you can spend some time eating on the restaurants outside the park, besides that all good.

An experience not to be missed! - The complex where the warriors are housed comprises of 3 large halls and a museum in a beautiful zen setting with trees, plants and the mountains as a backdrop. Get there early to avoid the crowds! We got there at 8am and the didn’t have to queue.

Terracotta warriors with Spring - Spring and our driver both were great! She recommended a time change to avoid worst crowds, and was spot on ! An enthusiastic and proud resident of Xian who made sure we saw everything at site.

Great afternoon with the Terracotta Warriors - This tour was very convenient and informative. We opted to be picked up from the airport and transported straight to the Terracotta Army site. Our transfer van was spacious, clean and comfortable. We also opted to have a guide who collected us from inside the airport and took us to our van. Lynn was an extremely kind and helpful person who was very knowledgeable and spoke fantastic English. Unfortunately, we had one small hiccup where our online tickets did not seem to be valid, and we could not enter. If we did not have Lynn to help us navigate the situation I dont know what we would have done, she was invaluable in that moment. We were ushered to the ticket office where I contacted Viator helpline to explain the situation. Due to the time nothing could be done in that moment and we were instructed to purchase entry tickets onsite and were assured by Viator they would follow up on what happened. Lynn again came to our rescue and purchased our tickets and got us moving and on the way to see what we had travelled all that way to see, which when we finally got in was magnificent. It was quite late in the afternoon when we got in, about 4.30pm but it was perfect, for the crowds had disappeared and we had not issue with viewing any of the site. I would recommend to anyone going to get there later in the afternoon as it shuts at 6.30pm. Our transfer home was seemless and all in all we had a great afternoon exploring. Viator did follow up as promised and we were issued a refund which came through 3 days later. Thank you to all for helping get this little issue sorted.

Pre booking tickets via viator is a convenient service - Only booked tickets via Viator rather than a tour. The ticket is your passport so no need to queue. As you can only buy tickets 7 days before and not on the day this is a very handy service ie book with viator weeks in advance and viator buy the tickets for you as soon as the tickets are available.

Worth the trip only if you a are a terracota aficionado - Many many many people there, too much to really enjoy this activity. The statues are interesting pieces but not worth the trip in my opinion.

It must be seen, but be prepared for a bad experience - What you see is amazing, a wonder. But the whole experience is really bad, probably one of the worst experience. No organisation, no access/capacity control at the pits, people pushing, shouting... And all this with no aircon. We could see some info in English which was good. But all very confused. It was raining which was not nice, but better than waiting the queues under the sun. 10 to the exhibition (it is a must) 0 to the facilities, organization and everything else.
