This isn’t your typical walking tour. Instead, it’s a small group tour conducted via private tuktuk, complete with an endless supply of beer and soda. Your English-speaking guide will take you through the lesser-known areas of Xi’an, where you’ll dine at quaint, family-owned establishments and sample the finest local cuisine that you can’t discover on your own. After a 3-hour adventure, the tour culminates at a local brewery where you can enjoy the town’s only craft beer.

Xi Hua Men Fire Station, located 1 block north of the Bell Tower, just west of the intersection of Bei Da Jie Street and Xi Hua Men Street.

Highly recommended! - Our tour guide Jane was just amazing: very welcoming and with the best knowledge of local dishes. Also both drivers of the Tuktuks very really lovely and brought us safely from one spot to the next.
I really liked the dishes and places we had been to and enjoyed Jane's explanations how the dishes are made and how to eat them very much. Thanks again for this unique and lovely evening in Xi'an!

Awesome in every respect... Do it!! - Great food. Even greater guide. Diehl was awesome and clearly loved food and her job.
Everything went according to plan and the atmosphere was exilerating but not overpowering.
Diehl made things easy and she was very open in giving a view onto everyday life in Xian.
Highly recommended if you're a foodie. Don't mind some crowds and want to get to know the real China.

Best of the food tours in Xian with Buren!!!! - I had the most amazing experience with this food tour. Buren - our guide, was amazing. He took us to so many great places that we never would have found on our own. The Muslim BBQ joint was excellent, all the meat they brought was top notch. The noodle place was also great, and the dumplings were spectacular! Driving around by tuktuk was the way to go for sure, we covered a lot of ground. And then beers at the end near the city wall? Amazing! If you can get Buren as your guide, all the better. He was wonderful! Highly recommend!

Great food tour! Would recommend - We went on our tour with Ken and you could tell he really loves Xi’an and knows its history. We enjoyed our time and would recommend for anyone who wants to see some great highlights of what Xi’an has to offer.

A wonderful food experience in Xi’an - We were looking forward to our food exploration in Xi’an and were not let down by our guide Jane. Using a Tuk-Tuk on occasions, we toured about 4 locations to try noodles, dumplings, kebabs and a special,chicken dish. While we are able to visit local restaurants by ourselves, it was nice to have every organised for us. The evening was finished with a beer in a more modern establishment which was also very welcome.

Delicious tour! - Had an amazing tour with Buren who talked us through every dish and location that we went. You can tell that he really loves food and the city! I really appreciated that he took all dietary requirements and double checked with each restaurant that they were being followed

Great Xian food tour - We sampled a good range of local food in some fantastic little restaurants. The tour round the Muslim quarter showed us a bit of Xian we would otherwise not have seen. We had Buren as a guide - excellent English, knowledge and knew when to let the group develop its own dynamic.

Lost Plate finds new fans - The Xi’an evening food tour with Buren was the highlight of our trip (sorry Terra Cotta warriors, you’re great too, but the 𰻝𰻝面 are impossible to beat). Buren is a Xi’an native and a veritable foodie. Many tours will claim to offer local favorites beyond what’s trending on social media, but we knew this would actually deliver as soon as we approached our tuktuk chariots waiting in a quiet back alley. Buren’s spots were delightful, each one thoughtfully chosen based on one or two signature dishes. Buren adds color and context to the evening with his commentary and was even prepared for a trick question - why is the character in 𰻝𰻝面 (biangbiangmian) so complicated. Highly recommended, and do come hungry.

Food tour with the best guide Boer - We did a night food tour with Boer and were absolutely thrilled. He really knows his stuff and led us to fantastic restaurants where we could taste delicious food. He made sure with his charm and knowledge, to the city and the food, that we had a great group dynamic.
At this point again a big thank you for the wonderful experience.

Those Biang Biang Noodles - We did this tour in Xi’an in 2019 and it’s the best one we have ever been on so we went again with our daughters who enjoyed it as much as we did. Buren was an excellent guide! He is very knowledgeable about his city and the cuisine we enjoyed. Thanks Buren for a terrific tour!!! If you choose this tour be sure to enjoy every last bite of those Biang Biang noodles!
