Our driver will meet you at any location in the Fenghuang area at 7:00 am. Guilin is 400 km from Fenghuang, and the journey takes 12 hours by private car, as we will stop at Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town and Chengyang Dong Village.

Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town is situated at the confluence of the Yuanshui River and Wushui Water. It originated in the Spring and Autumn period, developed during the Tang dynasty, and reached its peak in the Ming dynasty. It is the best-preserved group of ancient buildings. According to expert research, Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town still retains its Ming and Qing architectural structures, including monasteries, basement houses, money shops, trade firms, foreign firms, workshops, shops, inns, brothels, and newspapers, with more than 380 buildings covering a total area of about 200,000 square meters.

Chengyang Dong Village is located in the northern part of Sanjiang County, bordering Guizhou to the northwest and Hunan to the northeast. Chengyang Village consists of 8 small villages. During your visit, you will enjoy many Wind and Rain Bridges, Drum Towers, traditional wooden houses, rice fields, bamboo water wheels, and villager dance and song performances. You may also explore traditional Dong homes and a carpenter’s family, savor local dishes, and learn about the ancient customs of the Dong people.

Itinerary:

• 7:00 am - 9:30 am: Pick up from Fenghuang hotel & transfer to Hongjiang.
• 9:30 am - 12:30 pm: Visit Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town & have lunch there.
• 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Transfer to Chengyang Dong Village.
• 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Visit Chengyang Wind & Rain Bridge and Dong villages.
• 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm: Return to Guilin or Yangshuo hotel.
