Furong Ancient Town or Hibiscus Town - Furong Town or Hibiscus Town or Furong Ancient Town has more than 2000 years of history. The original inhabitants were the Tujia people.
Not as popular and beautiful compared to Fenghuang Ancient Town, Furong is famed for its scenic waterfall but beware of the steep climb down (not for unfit and weak knees) to the waterfall scenic spot for better photos.
Weather in early March can vary from 6-7 deg Celsius in the morning and up to 16-17 deg Celsius in the afternoon.
There's a buggy transfer to Furong Town from the bus terminal.
