Highlights

English-speaking Guide in Jinguashi and Juifen area

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and drive you directly to the Northeast Coast in a private van. First, you will visit the impressive 13 Ruins that stands on the mountain like a castle in the sky from which you can view the Yin Yang Sea and the shining Golden Waterfall. The guide will tell stories of the once-prosperous mining area for you. Afterward, you will visit the Gold Museum to learn the history of gold-mining under the Japanese colonization.

Hike the Teapot Mountain

The highlight of this tour is the Teapot Mountain, which takes your imagination to see the teapot. Hiking Teapot Mountain is a fantastic experience incomparable to any other. The trail is easy hike, but if you would like to have some challenges, you can scramble through the teapot that requires basic rock climbing skills. Once your reach the peak, you can see the impressive view over the entire Northeast Coast.

Wandering around the Juifen old street

After the exciting hike with spectacular views, it’s time to comfort our stomachs and enjoy some of the local food in the Jiufen Old Street. You can try the traditional salty taro cake, the ice cream spring roll, the chewy Yuyuan (Taro-flavor bubble) dessert and so on.

Experience Taiwan traditional tea ceremony with Juifen night view

Afterward, you will also see the more traditional side of Jiufen where you can indulge yourself in the art of traditional tea. This Japanese-inspired tea house provides a set of tea and some tea snacks for you to enjoy the Taiwanese tea culture under this fascinating night view of Jiufen.

Great Hike and Great Company - Martin our amazing host gave us an amazing tour of Teapot Mountain. He was the best guide who spoke English fluently and was doing it all! He drove, photographed us, took us through Jiufen and showed us how to hike the hardest part of Teapot Mountain trail. Would recommend for anyone who wants a good hike and amazing company! Also, we were the only ones that were with the guide and so it was a very private experience.

This was a lovely trip, made even... -
This was a lovely trip, made even better by our guide, Martin. His English is excellent which meant he was able to pass on lots of extra information and to be a jolly and helpful companion. The views were wonderful and the tea at Juifen a lovely experience. Thank you Martin.

Jiufen Old Road - Taipei - Lovely visit with lots to see and varied souvenirs to buy. A good mix of casual stores that are well presented and well priced. Loved the opportunity to sample local delicacies amid a flurry of international tourists. Roads are narrow with some good photo opportunities. Ablutions seem to be sparse and huge crowds developed after 18:00 at night. We bussed in and out saving a fortune and enjoying WiFi all at the same time! A worthwhile visit - easy to navigate around and rather exciting. Have the beef noodle soup - delicious.

The scenery is impressive but the tour was a dissapointment - We expected a tour with an added value - a description of the sites we see but to our disappointment the guide did not provide any information in addition to driving us to the various places. The tea ceremony was nice but we were charges extra fee for participating in it. The scenery is indeed impressive and the view from the tea house was stunning.
