- DMZ - The building, known as “the pavilion of the Imjin River,” was constructed in 1972 as a convenience facility. It served as a rest stop for displaced individuals hoping to return to the North, offering a place to ease their homesickness.
In this historic area, visitors will explore Dokgae Bridge, the steam train from the Korean War, Imjingak’s statue of peace, Mangbaedan, and Manghyang’s Songbi to gain insights into the history and culture of the region.
- Dora Observatory - The destination will vary based on the number of tour participants.
For groups of over 30, the tour includes the Dora Observatory and the Third Tunnel, iconic sites representing the DMZ, offering views of the DMZ, Gaesong Industrial Complex, and Gaesong.
For groups of 20 to 29, the tour visits Dorasan Station, a unique tour route, and the inter-Korean immigration office, the only land-based immigration facility in Korea, handling all immigration-related tasks.
For groups under 20, the tour includes the British Military Seolmari Battle Memorial Park, honoring the legendary Gloucestershire Regiment from the Korean War, showcasing the intense battles and commemorating their bravery.
- Tongilchon-gil - Tongil Village is a settlement within the civilian control zone (CCZ) on the DMZ’s western front, unmarked on maps. Access is granted with guidance from a village resident after identity verification at Tongil Bridge. Visitors can savor unique local dishes made with Jangdan soybeans, renowned for their quality due to the Imjin River’s clean waters and ideal growing conditions.
Choose from Doenjang (fermented soybean paste), Cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew), or Kongbiji Jjigae (soy pulp stew). Each dish offers a chance to experience the DMZ’s history and the efforts of Tongil Village residents who transformed barren land into fertile fields.
Rich in protein and nutrients, Jangdan soybean dishes are popular among vegetarians, providing a delicious taste of authentic Korean flavors.
- DMZ 평화교육원 - The DMZ Stay & Guide Center is a unique destination along the DMZ Peace Together tour program. Built by DMZ Peace Together, the guide center offers a special experience and view, being only 3 km from North Korea.
The rooftop provides a distinct perspective from the observation deck, allowing visitors to leisurely enjoy the border area’s view and capture photos at a special spot.
Additionally, experience something new that is not available on a regular tour.
- Odusan Unification Tower - The Odusan Unification Observatory is one of the closest observation points to North Korea, symbolizing the DMZ.
Here, visitors can observe North Korean villages and the Han River estuary through a telescope, with exhibits on the history of division inside the observatory.
Particularly, data on North Koreans’ daily lives offers a deeper understanding of the division’s reality.
- Donghwa Gyeongmo Park - Donghwa Gyeongmo Park preserves the scars of war, allowing reflection on the meaning of division and peace through its monuments. Visitors are encouraged to observe a moment of silence and embrace peace.
- The Catholic Church of Repentance and Atonement - The Cathedral of Repentance and Atonement is a symbolic site promoting peace and reconciliation, representing hope and healing beyond war and division.
Inside, visitors can pray or meditate quietly for peace of mind, and in the square, photo opportunities are available. However, please avoid using flash photography inside.
- Hongik University Street - The tour concludes between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM. While the schedule or route may cause slight changes, the bus typically returns to Hongik University Exit 3 before 6:30 PM.
