Learn the corn production process by visiting a sustainable milpa accompanied by Don Francisco. You will learn about cleaning, planting and harvesting as well as the challenges that producers face due to climate change and pests.
You can try an ancestral corn-based drink called pozole and atole that was served as part of an offering for gods.
You will participate in the preparation of a typical Mayan meal prepared in an underground oven with local ingredients.
You will see how the colorful and traditional hammocks are made by hand of artisan women and you will try to keep up with their expert hands!
In the horn workshop they will show you the process to extract the material and create accessories such as earrings and necklaces.
