Khor Virap - Areni - Noravank, Old Bridge Winery

Khor Virap - Khor Virap is the site where Grigor Luisavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator) was held captive for 13 years before healing King Trdat III of an illness. This event led to the adoption of Christianity in Armenia in 301 AD.

Noravank Monastery - The Noravank Monastery dates back to the 13th and 14th centuries. The complex features three churches, remnants of medieval chapels and residential areas, along with a modern office and hall.

Areni Wine Factory - Visitors have the chance to sample Armenian wine at the Areni winery.

Old Bridge Winery - Located on the right bank of the Arpa River near Yeghegnadzor, Old Bridge’s vineyards cover five hectares at altitudes of 1250-1300 meters above sea level. Strategically positioned across five different locations, they ensure optimal sun exposure. The Khalatian family, who own the winery, carefully selected their seedlings to produce the finest Areni and Voskehat grapes. Each hectare yields 2.5-3 tons of grapes, with every berry handpicked and meticulously sorted to ensure only the ripest and undamaged bunches are used for wine production.

Garni Temple - The Garni Temple, built in the 1st century AD by Armenian King Trdat, is the only monument linking the era of paganism and Hellenism, dedicated to the sun god Mithra. Constructed according to classical Greek architectural principles, it closely resembles the famous temple in Athens, Greece.

The Monastery of Geghard - The Geghard Monastery was established in the 4th century by the first Armenian Catholicos, Gregory the Illuminator.

Symphony of Stones - This natural monument features enormous, paradoxically symmetrical hexagonal and pentagonal basalt columns, nearly 50 meters high. These stones, defying gravity, resemble an organ, which is why it is also known as the “Basalt Organ Pipes.”

Azat Reservoir - The reservoir’s surroundings are stunning, with the sky and clouds reflecting in the water, giving it a unique appearance depending on the time of day. The Yeranos Mountains rise majestically around the reservoir.

Saghmosavank Monastery - Saghmosavank is a medieval Armenian monastic complex situated along the scenic gorge of the Kasagh River. Perched on the edge of a deep ravine, the monastery offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the Ararat Plain. Founded in the 13th century, Saghmosavank includes a central church dedicated to Saint Sion and a scriptorium where manuscripts were once carefully copied and preserved.

Armenia Wine - The “Armenia Wine” company was established by the Vardanyan and Mkrtchyan families as a tribute to their love for their homeland, nature, and culture. It began in 2006 with vineyards planted in the Armavir region, southwest of Armenia, and later evolved into a significant winemaking project. The winery, founded in 2008, is located in the Aragatsotn region, one of Armenia’s viticulture areas, situated between Yerevan and Mount Aragats, the country’s highest peak.
