A few nice pictures - The weather started out cloudy though ended up getting some clearing. Caught a few good pictures throughout the night. Over all good night!

Aurora borealis - Very cold night! The solar wind was visible.
Overall great night! Had so much fun posing around, even though I’m not the best.

A Bucket List Experience - We thoroughly enjoyed our Aurora tour with Amit on 12-28-24. He was pleasant, informative, and helpful. We had low expectations based on a weak Aurora the night before, but were dazzled by God's handiwork on this night. Seeing the pure joy it gave Amit when the skies cleared and the lights began dancing brought joy to us. He also adapted the group's plans when the Aurora became active and made sure we all got wonderful pictures and had plenty of time. Pictures were sent to us within an hour after we were dropped off at our AirBNB. He loves his job and is a credit to this tour company.

Fantastic northern lights tour - This is a tour that drives to a few locations where you get out to look for the lights. Our guide gave us great information re the lights and general area along the way. They also gave us hot drinks and delicious maple cookies (which were so good that afterwards I went to a supermarket and bought a few packs to take home!). Our guide took lots of fantastic photos of us and sent them to us straight after the tour. We had a fabulous night!

Aurora hunting - We, three couples traveled together to see the northern lights in Yellowknife. It was the last week of November and at first we chose "Northern lights with cabin" as i heard that weather was too cold to stay outside all times. For 3 days we could only enjoy northern lights one time as it was cloudy. We want to see northern light one more time and chose Yellowknife vacations. I called them and made a reservations for aurora hunting same day. It was not easy to contact local operators by phone and not possible to make same day reservation. Contacted Yellowknife vacations and i could make a reservations for 3 couples and they upgraded our tour to "private aurora hunting" for us. We were picked up at 9:30 at our place and returned back around 2:00 a.m and it was really amazing tour we had in Yellowknife. The guide Amit is professional guide and we moved 3 different place to chase Aaurora. On the last day of our travel to Yellowknife, we saw great northern lights. ana Guide Amit took fantastic pictures for us and when i returned home I can get beautiful pictures.
I would like to say thanks to Amit, guide and Yellowknife Vacations for the fantastic aurora tour in Yellowknife. Pros and cons for aurora hunting and tour with cabin. In cabin, they just stay at one place and if the weather is cloudy, it is not easy to see northern lights. While aurora hunting is not stay at one place, this tour moves to chase aurora and the high probability of watching northern lights. I strongly recommend "Yellowknife Vacations" and say thanks again to our guide Amit. They are really professional tour operator. It was very cold and bring warm clothes.

Georges friend from Montana, visit to Yellowknife. - We were greeted at airport and went on tour and lunch as soon as we landed. Saw terrific lights each of the 3 nights. Breathtaking the second night. Tour guide got us home to the hotel at 3:00 am each day. Were fantastic nights searching for the lights. Most we saw in the parking lots at lakes in the Yellowknife area. So dark out there one could not see their hand in front of their face. Warm bus and hot chocolate and cookies to take any chill off. The last night we went to a tee-pee village way up north by a lake. In the native lodge they fillet'd several large whitefish. Then cooked them over a fire in one of the tee-pees plus cooked a small flatbread for each of us. Most memorable snack ever. Then out came the homemade drums and one of the native men put on a demonstration of native drumming with many of our tour group playing drums with him. Can't put into words the wonderful night that was. While all this activity was going on the Northern Lights were dancing in the background. Was chilly but a quick visit into the lodge or the warm tee-pee made things so nice. The next day we were taken to the modern airport to get on the airliner,{180 passengers}, and we flew back to Calgary. The tour of Yellowknife was so well organized and complete. To visit the diamond center, the world class museum and other sights rounded out our adventure trip of a lifetime. If you are thinking about this trip, do it. You will not regret it. Great experience with Pei - We did two trips with this company and Pei was our guide for both. We did the city tour which was informative and a good activity for a cold afternoon.
We also did an aurora tour. We had it originally booked for Saturday night but our flight was delayed so the company graciously allowed us to switch to Wednesday (we already had activities booked for the other days). Unfortunately the weather was not good and we had zero expectations of seeing the aurora. However, Pei had faith and we waited at our first stop...she was absolutely right! The sky cleared up, and we saw pretty good aurora activity. She also did a great job of taking photos. We were only 5 in the group, so we were in an SUV instead of a bus. Pei did a great job of trying to make the trip fun for everyone

Service Not Consistent - We booked two day tour with Northern Lights Tour Yellowknife. The guide's name is Peipei. She was nice and being professional on the 1st day. We tipped her generously (18% of the total charges).) because of her great service.
However, for day 2, the driver and Peipei arrived almost 1/2 hour late to pick up us at the hotel. No communication or advance notice that they are going to be late. Kept us wondering whether the trip was cancelled. We had to call the company to figure out what's going on.
As to the service on date2, Peipei was apparently wasn't that attentive and wasn't happy at all. She hardly talked with us at all, which made us wondering it might be due to our contact with the company directly. We understand that it isn't an easy job. Some of us still tipped her even she did not do a great job.
Our recommendation to the company is not to over-work their guide. Peipei might need to take some rest, instead of continue to work two days in a row to maintain great customer service.
